Worked fine for 1 year. Started shutting off 2 days ago, now i have no power whatsoever. Plugged it in another plug and still no power.
I do a lot of work on Dacors / Sharps. Can you describe what you mean by "shutting off"? When it was shutting off before, was it completely dead with no display and no beeps? Was iut shutting off during a cook cycle or just while setting there or what? When it would come back on or start working again, how long did it take to come back, or how did you make it come back on?

This is tricky to diagnose remotely.
It could be a failing magnetron thermostat or thermal on the magnetron or the magnetron itself.
It could be the control panel, which we repair nationwide for $39.95.
If you or a friend decide to work on it, we have *critical* safety & disassembly info at our site, which is linked at our listing here on FixYa:http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk
You can find helpful exploded view diagrams here:http://www.apdepot.com/PartsLookup/Looku...
It's easier and cheaper to get the original Sharp part instead of the Dacor part.
Once you loof all this over, feel free to contact me if you need more help. Be safe!

Thank you for the response.
The microwave would operate for a few secs and then it would go completely dead (no display, beeps, etc.)
After that incident it came on (on its own). I tried to use it and it went completely dead again. Since then it hasnt worked.
