Check your manual and re-program the up/stop and down/stop position. Also make sure the new trolly is in it's proper position.(in the closed position) Hope this helps

Look at the sensitivity adjustment, your description sounds like it is set too sensitive. This is the close sensor.

Garage door opener trolley keeps shearing off. Had it replaced a year ago, and I noticed that it is making a grinding noise and I can see it is halfway sheared off again.

issue with counterbalance springs. when you release trolley, door should balance at half way open. if i rises all the way on its own, or falls closed, then the springs are an issue and motor and trolley are working very hard in one direction or the other.

1/2 horse garage door opener doesn,t open all the way. I need about a foot more lift. The tried a trolley stops before the stop limit..Therre is no interference. I Tried adjusting the up limit to no...

You said you adjusted the up limit already. Is it adjusted as far as possible? Usually the screw will become harder to turn. You mention a new door and spring but is the opener the same? My guess is you have a new opener as well and it is out of sync with the trolley. Try turning the up limit back and see if the trolley will stop shorter. If it does, loosen the chain or belt so that you can remove if from the opener's drive gear. Bring the trolley to your stop limit and put the chain/belt back on the gear. Adjust the chain/gear tension and try door operation again. If it was a sync problem, the door should close closer to your limit. Adjust up and down travel as necessary to fine tune it. This worked for me so good luck.

My i/2 hp crafstman chain drive opener stops about a foot from the floor i got it up and noticed the chain was sagging about a foot below the bar how dow I tighten the chain

The adjustment for the chain is on the trolley. That is the part the chain and the door are connected to. Your chain is sagging entirely too much. Have you done any other work to this opener?

Door can be opened manually when the trolley has

You can adjust the length of the arm between the trolley and door so that it is in a vertical position when the door is closed. This will prevent your problem.

Craftsman garage door opener 1/2 hp will not open door

It sounds like your chain is out of sync with the limit switches. Loosen the chain enough so that you can remove it from the sprocket on top of the motor unit. Now run the opener until the sprocket runs counterclockwise and stops. Now with everything attached and the door in the open position replace and tighten the chain. You are now in sync. You may need to tweak the up and down limit controls which are on the side of the motor unit.

Garage door opens 1 foot, then stops.

It sure sounds like you have a broken door spring. While you are at it remove the cover and take a good look at the drive gear. It is white nylon and is just in front of the motor. Might be stripped and unable to take the weight of the door.

Garage door opener (chain) motor runs in reverse. Trolley slides forward trying to close door, even though it is closed, instead of sliding toward motor to open door. Happened out of the blue - was

Loosen the chain enough that you can remove it from the sprocket. Run the opener until the sprocket turns counterclockwise and stops. With the door in the open position replace the chain. You will probably need to adjust your open and close limits per your owners manual.
