My Lexmark Impact S305 will not print in color.

I updated my firmware, like Lexmark asked me to do (version E), and now my printer will not print with any color ink. I have three full color cartridges in the printhead. I have triple checked to make sure my preferences are still set on using any or all available ink. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If you're using a remanufactured/refilled cartridge, the printer will not be able to recognize those cartridges after the firmware update. The firmware update restricts use of refilled/remanufactured cartridges. That's to prevent damaging the printhead.

Good day sir, My Lexmark z35 color printer doesnt work. I already tried to use the printer settings properly but still failed to print the color ink. Only black ink in printer is printing. Im still hoping that you have any solution for this. pls.. help. thanks!

Try uninstalling the printer from the printers and faxes folder. Then remove any lexmark software that may have downloaded with it. Reinstall using the original CD.If you have no Cd then go to lexmark's website and download them.

    Make sure that you're using genuine Lexmark cartridges. If you are, try the steps below:

    - Perform a maintenance on the cartridges. To do that, on the control panel of your printer, press on Setup > Maintenance > Deep Clean Printhead.

    If you still have the same problem after performing those steps, it could be a problem with the printhead. You might want to contact Lexmark's technical support.

    I have a lexmark s305 i have replaced the cartridges and it still wont print i use it regularly so it hasnt been left to dry out???

    If you're using remanufactured cartridges, the printer will not detect the ink levels.

    When I go to print a document, it pulls the paper through, but does not print

    Try to clean the printhead nozzles on your Lexmark Impact S305 printer. From the printer operator panel, press Setup button > Maintenance > Deep Clean Printhead. Your printer will then print a page forcing ink through the printhead nozzles and clean them.

    If that doesn't help, please visit the Lexmark support page to determine if your printer is affected with the printhead issue. Also, make sure your printer is updated. The firmware update will help give you a highly reliable print system.
