Reservoir will not empty completely

The water reservoir will not empty completely...machine 4 mos. old

I was having problems the last 2 weeks with less and less of the water being moved from the reservoir to brew. First it would move all but 2 cups, then all but 4...yesterday it would only move 1/2 of the water. I decided to de-calcify (again) and it moved ALL 10 cups of vinegar/water! Yah! NOT. When I went to rinse, there were no lights, no indication the unit was even plugged in. My unit is older than most here, about 2 years old and is used daily. I suppose I should consider myself fortunate to have had this unit work for as long as it did, but dang...this thing cost almost $100 new...I could have bought a (literally) disposable coffee maker every year for that.

I would contact customer warranty service on your unit. These units have a limited three year warranty. I will be posting again on the leaking problem above. My replacement machine is on the way. I have to pay shipping both ways but that is better than buying a brand new machine. Good luck with your issue

I am sorry, I got confused about your problem. My machine has the leakage problems as well as others. You have the reservoir won't empty fully while making coffee?

Try decalcifying your unit with 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 cold water and turn on your machine to allow a complete cycle. When cycle has finished dump the water/vinegar mixture and fill the reservoir with fresh cold water and cycle again. If this does not fix your problem and it doesn't seem to you this is a blockage in the lines, then perhaps you can contact customer service as I had recommended above.

I had the same problem I used straight vinegar. I just poured it into the coffee maker and let it run through the cycle after it was done then I poured plain water and ran it through it That seemed to help my problem. I hope this helps

the large mug into the sink.
Step 3:

Step 4:

Ensure the Dirt Devil is connected to a working power supply if it does not turn on or operate. Check the fuse or breaker and replace or reset as necessary.

  • 2 Empty the dirty water tank if there is little or no suction. Turn off the Dirt Devil and grab the top of the dirty water tank. Push on the latch to release the tank and pull the tank off the base. Remove the lid and empty the dirty water into a sink. Replace the cap and hook the front of the tank onto the machine base. Hook the nozzle on the base so that the nozzle is level with the cleaner base. Push the back of the dirty water tank down and into position.

  • 3 Check the dirty water tank and empty as necessary if there is water leaking from the cleaner. Open the latch on the top of the solution reservoir and pull the reservoir forward. Fill with Dirt Devil brand cleaner to the fill mark. Fill the rest of the reservoir with hot water and close the cap. Replace on the base unit.
  • 4 Make sure the solution reservoir is seated firmly in the base unit if there is no cleaning solution dispensing from the unit. Fill the solution tank with cleaner and water if the level is low.
  • 5 Examine the hose and nozzles for possible obstructions if the carpet cleaner does not seem to be operating correctly. Remove any blockages.

I have had my hamilton beach brew station for a year. The past 2 weeks, the water put in the bottom reservoir does not empty completely into the coffee reservoir. It leaves about 8 oz in the bottom water...

On your machine there is maybe inside water reservoir a hose or tube that goes down to bottom, or suppose to go down to bottom, to **** up all water. Look inside and see if hose is going all the way to bottom, maybe it got hung up or crooked. Please let me know, glad to help, thanks mike ( mr bean man )

Keurig model B40 How do I empty the resevoir , I can empty the cold watet tank. We are moving so need to completely empty all water.

    Hi,

The water reservoir lifts out. There are two tabs on the side which lock it in place. You may have to pres on them to remove it. If you are wanting to completely empty the entire machine, I have found an instruction manual and have instructions for purging: Fill reservoir with clean water and replace on machine with lid on it. Raise and lower handle without K cup inserted. Wait for the red light next to "heating goes off.
The blue lights on the control center will begin flashing. Put a cup on the drip tray and press "Brew"

When finished, repeat brew procedure 2 or 3 times and inner tank should be empty.

Hope this helps, if it does, please place a vote for me.

    Good luck with your move,

Water left in steamer - need to clean clear tank

I'm willing to try this to clean the mold out of the steamer container and possibly the rest of the attachments:
    1. Empty the water reservoir completely. 2. Place 20 mL of CLR or bleach into the reservoir. 3. Fill the reservoir with hot water. 4. Shake the reservoir to mix and let stand for about 1 hour. 5. Empty the reservoir completely. 6. Rinse the reservoir 3 or 4 times with cold water. 7. Fill the reservoir with distilled water. 8. Run the steamer into the ventilated air a couple of times to ensure that there is no CLR or bleach residue on the evaporation elements. Thus, there will be no bleach on your cloths.
I have the same problem and will try this out tomorrow. I will tell you how it turns out.

Wow, I can see your question is very old. Do you still own your machine and if so have you resolved your problem with it? I would contact Cuisinart Warranty at 1-800-726-0190 and ask them what they can do for you. There is a limited three year warranty on the unit from the day you purchased it.
