Question about JVC AV-32F702 32" TV

1 Answer

JVC AC32F702 I've got a JVC AV32F702 flat screen t.v. I recently started getting 4-6 digital lines across the top of the screen, the quality still looks very good. The screen also started flashing a green background with digital/horizantal lines within the background, and sometimes when it does this it will shut off, the red light on the front panel will blink, and the t.v will not turn on unless unplugged and plugged back in. It doesn't seem to make a differance on how long I wait before I plug it back in. Does this sound like a power supply? Any help is appreciated. Sean

Why has my sanyo flat screen television only got coloured horizontal lines across the screen?

That might be an issue with the TVs picture tube if it was not one of the LED or LCD TVs. Please get a technician changed it. If it was any one of the LCD or LED TVs, then it would be more expensive than you expect.

Have a 4 yr old 32" samsung flat screen. The screen recently has an approximately 1/4 inch wide line going horizontally across the entire screen and more recently a second line of approximately 1/3 of...

It can be costly and difficult to replace the internals of any flatscreen television screen. Your best bet is to consult an electronics professional in your area for an estimate in repairs.
If you are a technically inclined person and you've got nothing to lose, you could always try ordering a new board online and attempting an install on your own.
Take a look at NewEgg, they usually have a good deal now and again on electronics parts, televisions included.

White lines across the top of the screen

It sounds as though you can see Transmission lines which are sent out with any broadcast at the top of an image, The TV should normally blank these out, i suggest checking your horizontal and vertical settings

Permanent horizontal line approx. 4" from top of screen

if this line is in the picture, that is possible burn in screen. if you have a black bar at the top or faint white lines that come down from top this is caused by defective filters in vertical circuit or bad vertical output. mch

In the customer menu page thru it until you come to a page that has an item called convergence. move the cursor down to hightlight this and press enter. The next screen will have an Auto on the top line and a Manual of the second line. Hightlight the auto and press enter. The TV will attempt an automatic convergence alignment. BE WARNED>>>It will either correct it or make it worst. If it gets worst then the TV's convergence circuit has aged and is starting to fail. If it corrected it it's the same aging but not as bad, YET. If there is no change or it got worst then you will need to have the TV serviced preferbly by an authorized JVC service center because they have access to the service literature and buttetins.

You have a clogged video head. Use a dry type head cleaner and follow the instructions. Better use the best tapes you can afford, since tape quality can keep you from having this problem, and tape cleaners can gradually damage your camera. Good luck
