Question about ATI Radeon 9600 Pro 256MB DVI+CRT+TV 8X AGP Retail Box Graphic Card

Ati radeon 9600 video card

Cannot make a connection to the DVI from monitor (Viewsonic VX 900) to the ATI card. I changed DVI cords, updated the video card & monitor to no avail. I can put an old card into computer, with dvi (navida) and it will work. The computer's graphics isn't intergraded, so I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks for any suggestions.

What you have the ATI card hooked up can you see the boot screen? If you can see that you might want to try going into safe mode and making sure your graphics settings aren't set beyond the capability of your monitor. If you can't see the boot screen then your card might be dead.

All nVidia GeForce 4/Ti Series

**Recommend nVidia GeForce 7 Series or higher

Do your PC support the above hardware requirements?
The most common input no support would be your graphic card is not up to the mark to play the PC games.

Is your graphics card drivers up to date to the latest?
Have you updated your DirectX to the latest version?

Hope it helps.

Ati 9600se problems

I suspect that you are using too small a power supply. The display card uses a lot of power, to achieve the display rates. Try a heavier duty power supply

Monitor screen shuts off and on while in DVI mode

First, try updating the ATI drivers. The DVI connection transfers information about screen state back and forth (it's a full two-way connection). If there's some bug in how the SyncMaster and ATI card do this communication (which sounds like the problem) then hopefully the newer drivers will fix it. Otherwise try it out on a RGB cable.

Viewsonic vp912b lcd display will not work.no DVI

Yes you can but there should be an option in the monitor settings for DVI... Maybe if you go into safe mode and attempt adjusting settings for the ati for the dvi output, from what I hear that monitor is nice with the DVI option would be aa shame to lose that.
