Lettering smearing on LG panel washer & dryer

Has anyone else had this problem?

    Same problem with the lettering smearing on my LG washer and dryer. The LG tech supports only solution was replacing the front panels at my cost. No guarantee it won't happen again.

This is ridiculous. All appliances with such lettering should get negative reviews. I will be the one to start. Only the squeaky wheel gets the grease

you don't, you have to replace the control to correct this wear problem, they don't sell just the lettering overlays/

SOURCE: Disolved lettering on fornt of LG washer

I have run into the same problem with my LG microwave oven/toaster. The did a poor job protecting the silk screened legends for the controls. I made my own labels. Avery makes label material that you can print on your ink jet printer. It's not crystal clear, but at least I know what button to push. Avery 8665 Clear Full Sheet Labels. Available at Staples and other stores.

one possible solution would be to flash the old black prada firmware onto the silver phone; as far as i know the hardware of the phones are identical?

however, you would lose the white theme, qwerty keyboard etc.

assuming the very top cover on both units are scratched??? i have part numbers for you , but thinikin your gonna need to call cust service to order the parts, local part houses probably dont stock them(lg parts anyway).. washer part number( AGU30781501 $80US) dryer part number ( AGU30071202 $70 US)
