Question about Sharp Viewcam VL-AH60U Hi-8 Analog Camcorder

Camcorder My camcorder is acting weird. It isnt closing or opening right and it has these numbers on the screen E007. I dont know if it is because i need a new battery or if it is just dying on me. I hope it is not dying cause i cant afford a new one could you please help. Thank you very much!

Well has it been dropped? If so more then likely the guide rail fall out of place and can easily be poped back in place. A good way to see if its your laser or guide rail is to fined the hole that when the lids closed this pin goes in the hole so the ps2 knows the lids closed and stick a piece of paper in that hole with lid opened. Now it should act like the lids closed. See if the laser produces a red beam or strange noises. Maybe even the little black piece at the back that stops the disc from spinning isnt working right. But dont get worried as theres a pin on the lid that makes the black piece pull back from the disc when lids closed so it might be stopping disc from spinng while its open. Several diffrent solutions need to know how you know its not spinning. If your just putting your head to it and cant hear it spinning then you will need to trouble shoot.

Hi!
It's most likely a damaged LCD cable which goes through the hinge - happens to many camcorders. You will have to contact your local Sanyo service center. I replace these cables for Sony camcorders every day.

Cancorder not wrking-e007 error message

moisture in the cassette holder. Take out the cassette, leave the holder door open for a couple of hours in a dry, warm location, and it should work again.

It's a flex wire connecting LCD with camcorder. got from the repair shop. did it by miself workes like new. it'very common in this kind of sony.

lo m8 sounds like it could be a problem with your ribbon.try opening the flip and closing it.if by doing this it sometimes works and sometime does not work then its your ribon that needs replacing.if you dont want to do it your self then send it to these guys they very cheap an do most my repairs to a good standard. http://www.mobilephoneservicecentre.co.uk/

Where do i charge the battery?

if you open the little thin plastic door (right next to the LCD viewing screen when the LCD viewing screen is closed), you'll be able to plug in your charger. if you still need help, email [email protected]

Camcorder Error

for a quick fix I usually override it by slightly opening the tape when its being loaded, i think its a sensor issue. my cams been rendered useless because of this stupid error, I cant even sell it now because it only works 10% of the time and that's usually when im just checking out the cam, only when I need it the most does it screw up on me
