I was talking on my cell phone and the battery ran down (it had one bar left and the indicator light was yellow). So, I plugged it in to the wall while talking. When I looked again, the battery indicator was now blinking red. What does this mean? If I unplug it, the battery appears to be charged a little bit but quickly dies again. This phone is new and I couldn't find anything about this in the manual.
If it show fully battery also when u charge your battery it show from the red indicate only tht is not a problem... u need to charge the battery fully ... untill the msg shown as charge complet .. so need not to worry about the Red blinking battery indicator when you plug in charger.

In BlackBerry LED indicator blinks in different colors to deliver different notifications to the user:
Blinking RED: The LED indicator blinks red whenever you have incoming or waiting communication messages on your phone - new email, new call or missed
call,
Blinking GREEN: this is Coverage Indicator light. This lets you know you are connected to a network.
Blinking BLUE:If your phone is connected to a Bluetooth device, such as a Bluetooth headset it blinks blue.
Blinking YELLOW: A blinking yellow light means it is time to charge your BlackBerry
Hi, Ephraim. The flashing red light indicates that the device is showing "low battery". It could be that the LG phone charger fits the charging port on your bluetooth headset but it is not compatible with your device. In order for you to know that it is charging, the device should show a steady red light(means charging).

Battery icon goes yellow when charge is low, red when about to go off, yes, that's OK. Recommend give it more time after all the bars are full-white, to trickle more into the battery. Lithium batteries don't seem to like being flattenend and left flat in my experience.
The light blinks for all sorts of things, might also have pending messages, etc. Can use the Storm OK while it's charging, just hold down red button to turn it on again.
After turning on, sometimes the cellular receiver does not turn on until battery is more charged. Wait 10 mins and then try to make a phone call, you may get a message saying it's off, do you want to turn the receiver on - just say yes.
Rub the terminals of the battery with your fingers and than again put it on charging .... before doing that remove the battery from the cell for an hour..
this is similar to the red blinking lights on the xbox360...it seems your cell processor has overheated resulting in a cold solder joint or worse bridged solder involving the BGA array...I have had some sucess in fixing these albeit limited. sony charges 150 plus state tax and sends you a refurbished unit.
