I am posting this to say thank you

I had been considering what to do about the heat in the dryer no longer coming on - finding the time to be there for a handyman etc, wondering if it were worth it and in fact I should just buy a new one etc etc
Read the instructions and sorted it out after a moment of not finding the red button...
I feel like a genius and I really needed an ego boost today
Thank you so much you've made my day!

Soap drawer is just a slide fit - give it a good yank. for the dryer, take the top off and there should be a mainifold across the top with stats mounted on it. one or two may be re-settable stats ie have a little button in the middle which press to reset. if this works, cause of stat popping out is usually a lint blockage in the dryer manifold

Thor washer/dryer combo not drying properly. What is capacity of machine?

Whilst 'combos' will 'wash' a full load of clothes, they are not so good at 'drying' a full load. Since there must be a 'tumbling space' inside of the drum, into which the clothes can fall during the drying cycle.
In a 'nutshell' one 'wash load' equals 'two drying loads',
That's the price you pay for having a space saving 'combo' machine instead of having a 'washing AND a drying machine.
Add to that the fact that most 'combos' are 'condenser driers', as opposed to 'free flow outlet driers',
.
The consequence is that it takes far longer to 'wash and dry' a load of clothes in a 'combi' as oppose to two separate machines

Washer is leaking water out from underneath during cycle

Ours had a problem with water sloshing out of the soap cup during the cycle. The leak appeared under the left front. The fix was to remove the cup and just pour the soap into that section of the drawer. The only problem withthis is that you cannot add soap after you add the soap.

Soap drawer is filled with water

Our 2 year old washer just started seeing this problem. After removing the detergent dispenser drawer from the washer, cleaning it and cleaning the slot it came from we stopped seeing water retention.

Lg front load washing machine does not seem to get the clothes clean. I think it is because it uses so little water??? How can it get clothes clean with just a few cupfulls of water? All controls and...

I have run into this problem several times with LG washers. On one job LG had us replace every electronic componet that had anything to do with the water fill and the problem still was not resolved. The electronic control determines how much water to fill depending on the load size, so smaller loads give you less water, with the same amount of soap. Leaving clothes in the washer overnight, and leaving the door closed does contribute to mold and fungi growth in the washer. The customer tried different brands of soaps and different amounts of soap. He left the door open after usage to allow the unit to dry out, and tried different cleaners, to clean out the sludge build up. We determined that there just is not enough water to thoroughly clean the clothes. The sales store had to replace the washer with another brand. There is an ongoing class action lawsuit against Lg for this problem. Do an online Search for lg washer lawsuit. By the way, we don't have a problem with clothes not getting clean with the Whirlpool Super Capacity Duet Front-Loading Washers. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

Soap drawer on bottom washer won't open

Hi and welcome to FixYa.
That cup is held closed by a simple clip that is molded into the dispenser. There is nothing that would really keep it closed unless it is physically broken. Without being there to see the situation it is is hard to offer up anything else. I can say that if the cup is broken, that dispenser is a part #526860. It is not hard to change at all, you can do it yourself and you can order one here:

Hope this helps.

Eurotech washer Leaking water front detergent drawer

Hi,
I'm not familiar with your machine but usually there are nozzles above the soap drawer which squirt the water on to the detergent compartments at the appropriate times . If you can take out the soap tray have a look to see if the nozzle bit has come loose and is pointing towards you...also check that the outlets from the soap tray are not clogged with...soap.

Failing that, you could partially turn off the water supply to the machine so the pressure is reduced. Sure it will take longer to fill, but you won't get so wet.

Hope this helps. If this "fixes ya", I'd appreciate a rating for my reply, If not, please delay the rating and add a comment with any extra info you have and I will try to think of something else.

Thanks, D
