Question about GE GSH25JFR Side by Side Refrigerator

Model TFX25VRZB I couldn't find my model number in the long list so I just picked one that looked close to mine. My problem is this... there is a plastic tube that leads from the ice maker to the back of the refrigerator (about 4" long or so). The water is freezing in it and then the water is backing up into the back of the refrigerator and freezing. I have literally had all the wires in the freezer side frozen together with a block of ice. I have taken out the ice maker, cleaned it up. I have taken out the tube, unfroze the ice in it and put it back in. I have defrosted and cleaned the freezer up. After a few days, a week at the most, it does it again. Can you help PLEASE???

    The piece of plastic tube came with the refrigerator. I don't believe it should be copper. It is almost like a drain type thing that leads from the upper left (as i'm looking into the freezer section) to the ice maker.

    There is no leak. Like I said, what's happening is the water in the plastic pipe is freezing and then the water has no way to get into the ice maker so it backs up into the back of the refrigerator.

THIS TUBING IS IT A CERTIFIED PART THAT CAME WITH THE REFRIGERATOR? IF NOT ... THAT TUBE SHOULD BE COPPER!!!! MOST ALL CITY CODES DO NOT ALLOW PLASTIC TUBING FOR USE FOR WATER SUPPLIES. CHECK YOUR LOCAL CITY CODE OFFICE. BESIDES THAT ... YOU CAN PURCHASE PIPE INSULATION TAPE AT HOME DEPOT. WRAP THE ENIRE LENGTH. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT HAVE A SMALL WATER LEAK THAT EVENTUALLY WILL COAT THE LINE WITH ICE.

Well, why couldn't you download it at Intel.com by entering the model number? Which looks like a Zenith model number rather than an Intel model number...hm, looks like you need to read another number off that thing; you should have a model and revision for starters.

If the model number you have this listed under is correct, there is no adjustment. More than likely the door pivot and/or hinges are worn. They can easily be replaced, however. The part numbers are as follows:

Door Pivot - 8184922
Upper Door Hinge - W10114255
Lower Door Hinge - W10114254

You can find these parts at appliancepartspros.com. Just type in the model number and locate items 6, 8, and 13 under the "Door Parts" heading.
