Connect it and whenever i try to play music, the ipod says 'ok to disconnect' and wont play. the connection is working ok physically, but maybe there is a settings problem
I've just been struck down with this too on my newly purchased MM-E460D. I think I've worked it out, its just a poor description and manual. iPod mode" means choose the music off the iPod via a connected TV whereas "Remote iPod" is choose the music off the iPod via the Samsung remote and also directly from the iPod interface. I've been there for days trying to get "iPod mode" to work via the iPod interface.

If you connect an iPod via USB, the system will treat it as a hard drive and will use its (very basic) on-screen system to display your tracks.
I found the best way to get a result is to use a 3.5 (stereo) jack to RCA phono stereo input into the auxillary input on the back (side). To hear your iPod, select AUX on your Samsung and then select and play on your iPod. Bobs your uncle!!

try resetting the samsung home theatre system by switching it off, then holding the STOP button on the reciever for 5 secs
On the remote control for the Samsung Home Theater System look at the bottom left to a button that says "MODE", those moods change the sound each speaker gives off. if that doesn't work, you might need new wiring because there are other wires that are more durable than the ones that come with it, much better too.
SOURCE: how do i connect/play my turntable?
Hi sorry to say cant go direct.
What you can do if really want it running is get a RIAA pre amp with power supply (search google local shops). The turn table plugs into that, then that plugs into one of the analogue inputs of the Q70. That will work great if prepared for the effort!
Best of luck

You need to use the iPod Dock to connect the ipod and home cinema together.
