Acoustic reaserch subwoofer dont have any sound

If this is a powered sub then it's most likely the internal amp inside it that has failed. It's more than likely the part that works the hardest on the board. IE the main amp semicoductor.

I have two amps my power acoustic ov2-1800 stays in protect mode when i turn my car on, and my other amp is a JL Audio and it goes in and out of procect mode randomly??? Any insight???

You have a short. Check all power connections to both amps, all the way back to the battery. Then check to make sure speakers are connected properly

I have a power acoustic gothic series 1600 watt amp, it was playing fine last night and just went off, protect light on. Today i tried it, there is a very small amount of sound thru the speakers but thats...

There are really only two possibilities here. If you have the gain turned up too high then your amp will get over worked and will go into protect mode. It is a safety feature. You should never really have the gain at much over 50% up. If you have to consistently run it higher than that you are overworking your amp and it will either shut down to protect itself or you will fry it.

Red light

It sounds like the output transistors have failed. Disconnect everything from the amp except for the B+, ground and remote and turn the amp on. If it goes into protect, the amp is in need of repair. If you want to repair it yourself, email power acoustic for the schematic.
