Do you mean you have forgotten the wireless password for your network?

If so , there is are several tools available online which recover the wireless key as long as you have previously connected to that network from your computer.

Forgot user name & password to Linksys wireless EA3500. How can I retrieve it?

did you change the username and password on the router

if not
1) it maybe written on a label on the router
2) often it is
admin
admin

if you changed it , then you could try using the factory reset button on the device to return to factory settings

If the router was supplied by your broadband supplier they may have setup a username and password themselves and in which case you would need to contact them

I am trying to enable my WEP encryption. My Dell TrueMobile 1184 help guide asks me to open my web browser to http://my.router. When I click on that the Connecto to my.router dialogue box appears and...

The default username and password are both admin short for (administrator) now if you configured the router previously and added a password and forgot it you could always reset it from the reset button located in the back of the router hold it in for 30 seconds and wait 1 minute for the router to boot up only if the password admin does not work (I hope this helps have a good day)

I tried to set up a password with my wireless 2350 broadband router and now its saying that the settings don't match my network.. i need help

Change your wireless settings on your computer. Use the router's password. that way you will be able to gain access to your router. when you changed the settings on your router it does not automatically update your computer's connection settings. you have to manually change it. try right clicking the icon for your wireless on your computer. go to the connection settings and add a password that corresponds to the settings you changed on your router.

Computer can't find the router

Configure your router first, by doing that you need a ethernet cable (cat 5 will do). Connect your computer to your router using ethernet cable and open internet explorer, type in the ip address of your router and press enter. After that, you will be ask for username and password, just key in your username and password (if you cant remember, reset your router and key in the default username and password of your router). Once your done, go to internet setup and you can configure everything there. Hope it helps you.

Forgot network password

Hello...if you need to retrieve your network key, eg to connect a new laptop to the internet, this can be found within your router settings.

Here's a rough guide:

1. Type your router IP address, eg http://192.168.1.1 or whatever is correct for your model, into a web browser address bar

2. Enter your router username and/or password at the prompt. The defaults for Linksys are username: (left blank) and password: admin : but if you have set a router password/username, please enter these.

3. In the router user interface, go to the section headed Wireless Security, or similar. Every router is different, so you may have to hunt around a little. Key words to look for are Security, Wireless Settings, Encryption, WPA, (or WEP).

Your network key will be somewhere here. It might be labelled PSK, pre-shared key, WPA or WEP key, WPA-PSK, network key, WPA shared key, passphrase etc – but that’s the one you need.

For more details, you could pick up a manual from the Linksys site or view the help pages; otherwise, please come back to Fixya with your model number, and let us know how we can help. Good luck

I forgot the user name and password to my Dell Wireless 2350 Broadband Router. How can I retrieve it?

Please look on the back of the router for a small reset button - Press this with a pin or something small and hold it for a few seconds. Then check your router manual or a sticker on the bottom of the router to use the default password for your router

Note: You will have to reconfigure any settings you changed ie port forwarding
