My mom ran my blue ipod nano chromatic through the washer and it didnt turn .on the chromatic has an outer casing ting thing so you cant prop the back of and do the rice thing. i have o idea how to fix it.
Sometimes if you leave it sit for several days or so it will dry out completely and start to work again. I don't recommend charging it or plugging it in for several days or so as if there is still water in it, it may fry some of the chips. It may be beyond repair though.
I have been reading on the internet and most of the answeres say that you need to put it in some Dry rice, I don't know if it works because i just put my ipod in rice because I accidently spilt water on it........ some other answeres say take it apart but I wouldn't recomend that, because you might mess it more up, make sure you don't try to turn your ipod on because water and electricity aren't supposed to mix......... I hope this helps.. I've put my ipod in rice and I just hopes it works.........
Put it in white rice
Stick the ipod in the freezer for 48 hrs. adn then leave it sit out on a towel for around a day then charge it fully it should work.

I did the exact same thing with the exact same ipod (color and everything). By the time I realized it was in the washer, the rinse cycle had started. Any luck?
