Question about DXG Technology DSC 568 Digital Camera

2 Answers

Downloading Problem I recently bought the new Windows Vista and have been having problems downloading some of my old programs. It says something about "making sure the program is compatible with a 32-bit system" when I try to download them. These programs already work on my Windows XP so I am confused as to why they do not work on my new computer. I am working with a Veo 330V Stingray Web Camera and a DXG 568 Digital Camera. I originally hoped there was only a driver I needed to update or find so that these programs would work, they both are not that old anyways, but I have not had any luck searching for such a solutions on my own. All help and suggestions are appreciated. Thank you for your time!

Letting vista install devices is not always good, it not like XP, XP installs thing right!! with vista, its best to install software drivers before you even think about connecting it to the computer, and of course windows vista demands updated drivers alot

I have always advised folk to leave the software disk in the box when connecting cameras and the like to a NTFS system. Plug it into USB port and Windoze will find it. Should be the same with Vista I guess Leave the disk in the box- or of you have installed stuff uninstall it. And let Windoze do the work.

You can run software that says it is designed for WindowsCE. This is not the same as full Windows (xp, vista, 7) so normal windows programs will not work.

the camera tech may be right.

vista has new requirements and specially with drivers from camcorders,cameras...and everything else that requires you to install specific programs and drivers for that to run on a vista.

what you should do is check with your cameras website if they have one, and see if they have new drivers or software that is compatible with windows vsta.

you shouldnt have any problems doing this with XP, but with Vista, thats something else..
