How do you get music to save on a new 4gb memory card on a nokia E5 instead of saving in phone memory

Transfer music from a computer
You can use the following methods to transfer music:

• To install Nokia Ovi Player to manage and organize your music files, download
the PC software from www.ovi.com, and follow the instructions.

• To view your device on a computer as a mass memory device where you can
transfer any data files, make the connection with a compatible USB data cable
or Bluetooth connectivity. If you are using a USB data cable, select Mass
storage as the USB connection mode. A compatible memory card must be
inserted in the device.

• To synchronize music with Windows Media Player, connect a compatible USB
data cable, and select PC Suite as the USB connection mode. A compatible
memory card must be inserted in the device.

To change the default USB connection mode, select Menu > Ctrl. panel >
Connectivity > USB and USB connection mode.

I hope this information will be helpful. Thank you for using FixYa!

Cannot put a memory on my n95 8gb china phone???

N95 8GB has only mass storage memory. It does not have a slot for micro SD memory cards. Best method of data transfer is to use the USB to Mini-USB cable (should have come packaged with handset) and choose on the handset Mass Storage mode on connection for easiest and quickest data transfer.

I have albums in my pc and want to transfer the albums to my nokia 97?

Not sure if you meant photo album or music album??? Here is the steps for both, music first:

Transfer music from a
computer
You can use the following methods to transfer
music:
● To install Nokia Music to manage and organise
your music files, download the PC software from
www.music.nokia.com/download, and follow
the instructions.
● To view your device on a computer as a mass
memory device where you can transfer any data
files, make the connection with a compatible USB
data cable or Bluetooth connectivity. If you are
using a USB data cable, select Mass storage as
the connection mode.
● To synchronise music with Windows Media
Player, connect a compatible USB data cable, and
select Media transfer as the connection mode.
To change the default USB connection mode, select
Menu > Settings and Connectivity > USB > USB
connection mode.

This works for music, photos, or video:
Select Menu > Settings and Connectivity >
USB.
To have the device
ask the purpose of
the connection
each time a
compatible data
cable is connected,
select Ask on connection > Yes.
If the Ask on connection option is turned off or you
want to change the mode during an active
connection, select USB connection mode and from
the following:
● PC Suite — Use Nokia PC applications such as
Nokia Ovi Suite, and Nokia Software Updater.
● Mass storage — Transfer data between your
device and a compatible PC.

How can i connect my samsung rant to my pc

Samsung does not offer a Data Kit software package, for the purpose of transferring data between the handset and a personal computer or for using a Sprint handset as a modem for a personal computer. However, depending on the model, there may be a media card slot located on the side of handset or in the battery compartment that allows information to be transferred to a personal computer with the use of a media card reader.

USB (Universal Serial Bus) is a type of plug-in connection that is used to connect devices, including some handsets, to desktop or laptop PC's. In a handset, USB is useful for quickly transferring files to and from phones, or for synchronizing information with a PC application. The only USB setting needed for data transfer is the Mass Storage Connect to PC setting.
To access the USB setting follow the steps below:
  1. From the standby screen, press the Menu/OK key
  2. Select Tools (0)
  3. Select Mass Storage (6)
  4. Select Connect to PC (1)
  5. Connect the data cable to the PC's USB port and the handset Charger/Accessories jack
Note: No USB driver is needed for Windows 98 or XP. Other operating systems may require a USB driver that can be downloaded from http://www.samsungwireless.com/ usbdownload

N95 8GB.Problem in connecting the phone through USB cable

I suspect the message you're receiving is:

"Unable to Activate Data Transfer Mode. Mass memory is in use by another application."

It's likely that several applications are running in the background of your phone. I believe the N95 runs on the Symbion OS. I'm not sure how to walk you through pulling up a task manager application to manually close the running applications, but the simple answer to this problems is for you to turn your phone completely off and turn it back on again. This should close all the applications that were running in the backgound.

Hope this helps.
