Sounds like the tuber input has broken. This is very common in todays TV's. A local shop might be able to re-solder the connector bacck on but, if not then the tuner will need to be replaced. Call around and see who might give you a free estimate.

How to hook up cable box, dvd player, and tv, to the home theatre system

Instructions things you'll need:
  • Composite video cable
  • TV
    • 1 Place the front left and right speakers on each side of the TV with the speaker labeled "Center" either above or below the TV screen. Set the rear speakers behind the seating area at head level and place the subwoofer on the floor a few inches away from the wall, which can absorb bass sounds if the sub is pressed against it.
    • 2 Connect the plug on the end of each speaker to the jack labeled for that speaker on the back of the Durabrand receiver. The cables are permanently attached to the speakers, so each may need to be moved closer to the receiver. For example, the left front speaker connects to the jack on the receiver labeled "LF."
    • 3 Plug the video cable from the Video OUT jack on the back of the receiver to a Video Input jack on the back of the TV.
    • 4 Plug in the Durabrand receiver and TV to the electricity and switch on both components.
    • 5 Press the "Input" button on the TV remote several times until the Durabrand signal displays on the screen.

Won't to hookup a wii to a cable box and tv

Generally you do not need to hook the wii up to a cable box, simply plug the Yellow, Red, and White cables into the same colored plugs on the back of the tv. If this is not the problem please be more specific.

Can't hook vcr to tv

on the back of your VCR there will be a yellow colored port - most likely labeled "OUT" as well as possibly a white/red pair of ports.
The yellow is for a VIDEO hookup, the white and red are for AUDIO hookups.
These ports use what is called an RCA type connection.
Radio Shack, or just about any department store should be able to sell you an inexpensive set of RCA cables.

now on the back of the TV (possibly on the side) you will also have the yellow, white and red ports.

Hook one end of the RCA cable to the colored ports on the VCR, the other end of the cable to the colored ports on the TV.

last thing - the TV most likely has multiple inputs. there is probably a input button on the TVs remote, you need to press that button to cycle through the inputs until you get to the one the VCR is hooked up to.
its easiest to put a tape in the VCR and press play - when you get to the right input, you will see your tape...

good luck

How do I connect Durabrand home theater system to my TV with built-in DVD player? I also tried to hook it up to the game cube for my son...but could not get it to work. The only way it is working is by...

One way is to run a set of red white rca stereo audio cables from the back of your tv's red, white audio out plugs to the audio in plugs on durabrand hometheater system which are colored red and white. Most tv's will output audio signal automatically but some tv's like sony you need to go into menu of tv and under sound settings switch audio ouput to audio system if the sound doesn't come out automatically. Make sure you but durabrand hometheate system on correct input which should be labeled on back of durabrand system where the red and white audio in plugs are. Good Luck!

Hookup

Out to tv connects to your input or where the antenna for the tv is located. If you have an antenna hooked to you tv, remove it and hook in the vcr. Then put the antenna to input on the vcr.

Hooking up a dvd player

Red and white are audio cables
Yellow is video.

Your problem is that your TV has no video inputs. TVs use those red white and yellow plugs to transmit the signal via those cables.
By cable box - do you mean a digital box? You can't run it through that unforunately - those connections are only for the box itself and it only has an output.

You'll have to go either:
Buy a new TV
or get an RCA Modulator.

Trying to Install

Do you have the red, white and yellow hookups on the back of your TV????? If you don't then you need to get an RF Modulator. You can buy one at Walmart. Older TVs don't have the red, white and yellow hookups. You hook up the RF modulator with a short cable to the cable outlet on your TV. Then you plug in your DVD player to the RF modulator. You also plug your cable for the TV into the RF modulator. It really is very simple. Directions are included with the RF modulator. You will need a short piece of cable also.

Having trouble hooking up my DVD player

Try looking on your tv's menu for "input" or "input select". This should allow you to switch to your front AV inputs. If that doesn't work hook into the coaxial cable in the back of the set (the one for your cable or satellite input. Plug the cable from the output or to tv side of your reciever into the input of the dvd player and run another lenghth of coaxial cable from the output of the dvd player to the coaxial input where your satellite or cable was plugged into the back of your set. When you want to watch a DVD just turn on the DVD player and the picture should come up. When you turn it off your satellite or cable should come right back.
