Trying to pair omnitech 2.0 bluetooth headset without manual
I lost the manual for my new omnitech 2.0 bluetooth headset. I am trying to pair it with my lg chocolate phone. I went to menu on my phone, then settings, then bluetooth menu. I clicked add new device. it then says place device you are connecting to in discoverable mode. i hit ok, it searches and says no device found.
How do I set the bluetooth headset to discoverable mode, as i assume this is the problem?
I also just bought a Parrot minikit slim and paired it in the same way with no problem.
i have kind of the same problem but i lost the manual and i need the passcode for iti have kind of the same problem but i lost the manual and i need the passcode for it

You will have to pair the Bluetooth device. Turn the media device on, then see the manual to set your Omnitech to pairing mode. This mostly is pressing 2 buttons for several seconds. If the verslons of Bluetooth are too far apart of the both devices it might not work.
By pairing your KU990 and another device, you can set up a passcode protected connection. This means your pairing is more secure. 1 Check your Bluetooth is On and Visible. You can change your visibility in the Settings menu. 2 Touch Paired Devices then New. 3 Your KU990 will search for devices. When the search is completed Refresh and Add will appear on screen. 4 Choose the device you want to pair with and enter the passcode then touch OK. 5 Your phone will then connect to the other device, on which you should enter the same passcode. 6 You passcode protected Bluetooth connection is now ready.
Using a Bluetooth headset 1 Check your Bluetooth is On and Visible. 2 Follow the instructions that came with your headset to place your headset in pairing mode and pair your devices. 3 Touch Yes to Connect now. Your KU990 will automatically switch to Headset profile.
If you have any questions you can try reading the manual here http://www.in.lge.com/Product/Manual/KU990.pdf
Try this:
1. Ensure that your phone is switched on.
2. If the headset has not been previously paired with a device, switch on the
headset. The headset enters the pairing mode, and the indicator light starts
to flash blue quickly.
If the headset has been previously paired with another device, switch off
the headset, and press and hold the multifunction key until the indicator
light starts to flash blue quickly.
3. Activate the Bluetooth feature on the phone, and set it to search for
Bluetooth devices. See the user guide of your phone for instructions.
4. Select the headset from the list of found devices.
5. Enter the passcode 0000 to pair and connect the headset to your phone. In
some phones, you may need to make the connection separately after
pairing. You only need to pair the headset with your phone once.
If pairing is successful, the headset appears in the menu of the mobile phone
where you can view the currently paired Bluetooth devices.
When the headset is connected with your mobile phone and ready for use, the
indicator light of the headset slowly flashes blue.
If you have lost the pairing on your phone with the headset follow these simple steps below: • Setting the headset into pairing mode 1) Ensure the headset is fully charged 2) The headset must be switch off 3) Press and hold the on button for +- 8 seconds until the light flashes red-blue 4) The headset is now in pairing mode • Searching for the headset on the phone 1) Go to “settings” or “connections” 2) Select Bluetooth, then options 3) Select Devices and click add 4) The phone should search for any available Bluetooth devices and display what was found 5) Select the Motorola device and click add 6) You will be required to enter in a pass code which is standard ‘0000’. 7) If successful then the headset will start flashing BLUE every few seconds. 8) If it’s a Samsung or Nokia phone you will need to “AUTHORIZE” headset on the device. • The headset is now paired with the phone
Begin with headset turned off.
1. Press call control button for
6 seconds. Release button when
indicator light flashes blue and
red. Headset is ready to pair with
Bluetooth device.
NOTE The headset can pair to
multiple Bluetooth devices, but
will only connect to one device
at a time. The headset will automatically
connect to the last
device to which it was connected.
2. While the headset is flashing red
and blue, use the phone menu
to search for Bluetooth devices
and select “3XXPlantronics”.
3. When prompted for passkey enter
0000. Headset will flash blue when
paired successfully.
I had the same problem. To fix this, you need to keep hold of the button when you are turning it on until the light stays on - this is pairing mode. When the light is on, search for it on your phone and pair them up.

Go to this website, and scroll down to Interactive Bluetooth Pairing Guide. (Plantronics 330 - V555 doesn't show 320 and instructions will be similiar). Click on Interactive Bluetooth Pairing Guide and a tutorial will walk you through the steps. Have headset and phone together when you do this and both must be charged. Hope this was helpful. Pam
