Precor 9.27 Control Unit will not turn on. I have already tried replacing the fuse, but that did nothing. The red switch illuminates but the unit with the speed and incline control will not turn on. The magnetic key is in place.

that sound is due to the bearing failing inside the motor this is cause by capacitance discharge thru the armature thru the bearings. these unit can be rebulit I 've done plenty

Precor error codes 53

Precor Error 53, Can't Read Target, Can't Find Home Switch Probable Cause 1. Blown F2 fuse.
2. Home switch wiring is damaged or has intermittent connection.
3. Gear (elevation/incline) motor wiring is damaged or has intermittent connection.
4. Home switch is bad.
5. Gear (elevation/incline) motor is bad.
6. Gear (elevation/incline) motor target is damaged.
7. Lower PCA is bad.
Corrective Action
  1. Disconnect power from the unit. Remove the F2 fuse from the lower PCA. Using an ohm meter, measure the fuse for 1 ohm or less. If the reading is considerably high, replace the fuse. If the fuse is blown, inspect further for the cause to avoid the fuse blowing again. Inspect for damaged gear motor wiring or a bad gear (elevation/incline) motor. Replace if necessary.
  2. Thoroughly inspect the home switch wiring for damage or intermittent connections. Repair or replace damaged wiring or poor connections as necessary.
  3. Thoroughly inspect the gear (elevation/incline) motor wiring for damage or intermittent connections. Repair or replace damaged wiring or poor connections as necessary.
  4. Ensure the moving arm is away from the home switch and disconnect power from the unit. Disconnect both wires from the home switch. Using an ohm meter, check for approximately 0 ohms. Continue to monitor the home switch resistance and activate the home switch by hand. The reading should change from approximately 0 ohms to open (infinite). If either reading is considerably incorrect, replace the home switch.
  5. With unit disconnected from power, disconnect both wires from the gear (elevation/incline) motor. Using an ohm meter, check for approximately 9 ohms through the gear (elevation/incline) motor wiring. If the reading is considerably high or low, replace the gear motor.
  6. Inspect the gear (elevation/incline) motor target for rips, tears, or bad scratches. If any of these are found, replace the target.
  7. During the start up sequence, check the voltage at the gear (elevation/incline) motor. Voltage should be approximately 12VDC. The voltage should only be present between the time the sequence was started and the error 53 occurred. If the voltage is considerably low or absent and the F2 fuse proved good, replace the lower PCA.

Hi. my micromark MM60106 oven seems to be dead ,no red light, no heat ,no fan. power is getting to the switch but nothing works, do I need a new selector switch


Try using the VOM
First check is the main fuse of the unit. On countertop units, you will need to take the shell off. The fuse will be close to where the cord comes through into the unit. OTR units, this main fuse is usually behind the control panel or possibly behind the vent. Usually the fuse is obvious if blown, otherwise test with an OHM meter, if open, replace fuse.
Some brands will also have a thermal cut-off fuse in the incoming voltage line to the control board. Older Maytags and Samsungs have this fuse in it. This thermostat looking fuse is usually above the oven cavity somewhere under the outside shell. Sometimes you can get to it through the vent of OTR models. Test with an OHM meter, replace if open.

Precor Error 41, Lift has not Responded in Acceptable Time Probable Cause Error 41 was present in early software versions and is no longer being used.
Corrective Action If you encounter a unit that has software with an error 41, diagnose the same way you would if getting an error 40.

Precor Error 40, No Lift Motion Detected Probable Cause 1. Blown lift fuse in lower PCA.
2. Lift motor is physically jammed and not able to move.
3. Bad lower PCA.
4. Bad lift capacitor.
5. Bad lift motor winding.
6. Bad interconnect cable between upper and lower PCA.
7. Bad upper PCA.
Corrective Action
  1. Check the lift fuse from the lower PCA. Using an ohmmeter, the fuse should measure 1 ohm or less. If the reading is significantly high, replace the fuse. If the fuse is open, refer to steps 3 and 4 before continuing.
  2. Disconnect the lift motor from the ramp (elliptical) or lift platform (treadmill). If the lift nut or lift tube is jammed against the motor housing, turn the lift tube or lift nut away from the motor housing. If the lift was jammed, refer to step 3 before continuing. Calibrate the lift motor per the proper procedure for the unit being serviced and reattach the lift motor to the ramp (elliptical) or lift platform (treadmill). NOTICE: You must find and repair the cause for the jammed lift. Only re-calibrating the lift motor will not solve the problem.
  3. One of two modes can cause the lower PCA to fail. The lift switch could fail in an operated condition. If this happens the lift will move (either up or down) as soon as the unit powers up. The usual result is that the lift will be physically jammed as explained above, and probably also being cause for the lift fuse to blow. The lift switch could also fail in an open condition. If this happened, the lift would not operate in one direction. If either of these conditions occur the lower PCA needs replaced.
  4. Most units have the lift capacitor mounted inside the lift motor, and others use external lift capacitors. This information applies to units with the external lift capacitors. If the lift capacitor is shorted the lift fuse blows. Check the capacitor for a short using an ohm meter. Disconnect the capacitor from the lift motor and test. A good capacitor reads in the millions of ohms. Replace the capacitor if the reading is significantly low. Capacitor can also fail in the open condition which would result with the lift motor trying to run but not having normal power. Test the capacitor by measuring AC voltage across it. A good capacitor will read AC peak voltage while an open capacitor reads AC RMS voltage.
  5. When a lift motor winding is bad the lift will not operate in one or both directions depending upon the exact fault in the motor. Check the lift motor winding with an ohm meter. AC lift motors have a split winding (3 wires) and DC lift motors will have a single winding. Both windings must be checked on an AC lift motor. Normal winding readings could vary anywhere between 1 and 60 ohms, depending on the lift motor being tested. See the proper service manual for the motor being tested.
  6. Test unit with a known good interconnect cable. Replace the interconnect cable if necessary.
  7. Test unit with a known good upper PCA. Replace the lower PCA if necessary.

AC Control Transformer keeps failing.

well it has blown the fuse on the transformer, then you have coil switch bad.It could be the coil on the contath in for cooling.But can check by taking the yellow wire a loose and see if the don't blow. The red wire is one side of the transformer and the com could be any color.But look at the red wire because it is the main wire that travel the voltage throuhg the unit.

You are correct, the unit powers entirely from the red and yellow leads. Your symptoms sound like a unit that isn't getting power on the red (switched) lead. The most likely cause is a blown fuse in your vehicle's fuse box.
