Profile



How do I change the colours of my profile?



Go to the "Customize" page by taking your mouse over the Profile menu and clicking "Customize" from the menu.

Use the color pickers to choose the colors of your profile. There are two little circles which let you pick the color. To move a circle take your mouse over it, press the left mouse button and move the mouse while keeping the button pressed. Play around with both the little circles to get your desired color. Click "Finish" and then re-open/refresh your profile page.



How do I set my main profile picture?



To update your profile picture go to "Edit" under "Profile" and use the upload feature to the left.

You can also set a picture from your album as your profile picture.



How do I create a slideshow of my pictures?



1. Upload some pictures by going to your photos page.

2. Go to the customize section ( under the Profile menu ) and click the "Show Slideshow" option.

3. Go to your photos section and select pictures you would like to add to your slideshow by clicking on "Add to Slideshow" below the picture.

How do I control emails sent by Shtyle.fm?



Under the "Profile" menu, click on "Account Settings" then select "Email Notifications". You can choose from here which email notifications you would like to receive.



Account Privacy



While we encourage our users to actively participate in the Shtyle.fm community we realize that some of our users would like to enjoy the features only with their friends. You can make your profile private so that it is accessible to your friends only, further details are available on the "Privacy Settings" page. This is available in the "Account Settings" section under the "Profile" menu.



How do I change my password?



To change your password, hover on "Profile" click "Account Settings" then click "Change Password".



How do I delete my profile/remove my account?



You can always set your profile to private so that only your friends can interact with you.

How can I make new friends?



Search for people with the appropriate interests and location by using the search box at the top of the page.

Join a community, create a quiz, add a writing, make a recording to attract people to your profile.



how do I invite my friends to Shtyle?



Use the Invite link at the top of the page to invite friends from Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail etc.



How do I find my Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo friends on Shtyle?



If you have used the Invite form to invite any of your Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, Rediff friends then you can simply go to your friends page and click on "Find Friends". Your friends who are in your contacts and not already your friends on Shtyle will be shown here.



How do I remove a friend?



Go to the page which lists all your friends "Profile" >> "Friends" and click "remove" below the picture of the person you want to remove from your friends list.



Comments



How do I post videos, pictures, other multimedia content in comments?



You can add HTML code to comments. Many sites offer funny pictures, videos, flash with HTML code which you can add to comments.



What is a "poke"?



Poke is just a way to greet someone. When you poke someone, say with a "hi-five" then a comment is posted on their profile with the "hi-five" picture and an email goes out to them that you said hi-five to them.



Other

Inappropriate content, language, pictures, obscenities



If you find any Adult pictures on the site please report by clicking on the "Report Profile" link on the profile of the person who has added the picture.

If someone harasses you, block them by going to their profile and clicking on "block" below their picture, and report their profile to us.
