Question about Nikon Coolpix 4500 Digital Camera
I bought this camera few year back and was working very well. One day I could see the green button next to the on switch blinking, thought it might have been a weak batterie. I charged the batterie, tested it, installed it back into the camera; however it does not start at all. Any suggestions, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Vic
What type of battery is it? However general advice re batteries is as follows remove battery/s and with the eraser at the end of a pencil, polish the contacts at the base of the battery chamber. Do the same with cover. Do the same with the battery contacts. Reinert the batter - ensuring it is the correct way round the + contact to the + symbol and - to the -symbol. Close the lid and switch on No luck Open the lid and if the contact/s are in the lid fit a piece of foil over the contact, and if two contacts make sure it is 2 pieces of foil and not allow them to cross connect. Close the cover them try- no Luck? Press the cover in -Still no luck Try new/fresh/recharged batteries. Still out of luck Check out the charger if that is part of the equation . Still out of luck If the camera is more than a year or so old time to look for a new camera- likely repair costs will be prohibitive- if parts are available- and the possibility of racking up costs in shipping and inspection fees only to find a no parts/repairability possibility is not worth contemplating.. Best start afresh
