Remove your battery and connect your phone to charger and try to switch on, if its getting on , the problem is in battery , replace it .otherwise if its not getting on the problem in power circuit of your phone.

does your laptop have a bluetooth connection?? if does you can connect it to your phone, if not ,, install a bluetooth to your laptop, or using usb cable, just download the motorola drivers to your laptop so that the laptop can recognized your phone
the date/time needed to be set is normal especially if it took you a longer time to put a battery back again.
if you are having problems with the phone that is not charging and it's not with your charger or with the battery, ou are having problems with the phone. However, if this had been in contact with liquid like water or sweat, this can cause liquid damage on the phone. check if the the tiny round sticker at the back of the phone if it is white.
