There might be a problem with the laser and its ability to see the disk. I would suggect you get a lens cleaning kit from a video store or from a dvd rental store try to clean the lens if this does not work, open the unit and use a manual fiber optic cleaning kit these can be obtained from an electronics parts outlet. Once the lens is clean it should recognize the disk.

The problem could be on the DVD player and the
lens of it.Please follow the D.I.Y
procedures bellow:.
Open the cover of your DVD by unscrewing it.
Clean the DVD lens using CD cleaner.
Try to use other new CD or the one with no scratch.
Put an oil with the moving parts of it specially the side where the disc is stocked.
If the steps # 1 to 3 are not successful. The problem could be on DVD lens.
If the DVD lens is defective you better to buy a new
player.Because the lens is expensive and it is not easy to install on
DVD player.
Thank you!!!And hope to help you with all the best that I can...just consult or message me for any clarification or query..and please don't forget to rate me and have testimonial....Thanks a lot..
If you have put a dvd disk in your dvd player, and it says "no disc" then try cleaning it with a dvd cleaning disk. It could be that the eye of your dvd player is dirty. You can get a dvd cleaner at any department store.
If you have put a dvd disk in your dvd player and its a home made or "burnt" disk and your player says "no disc", it usually means that the disk is the wrong format to be played on your dvd player. Try another disk.
If you have not put any disk in your dvd player, and it says "no disc" its just telling you that there is no dvd inserted for it to play.
As you saying that when you insert any CD or DVD in Player its shows NO DISK.
Well Sometime what happen is if a CD contains are not compatible with Player than it wont work with it.
Or if you had burn that CD or DVD from your personal computer or laptop but it is not burn in proper format than also it wont work in PLAYER.
Well even if CD or DVD is having any scratches on it or it is Used uncounted enumerable times than also sometimes this things happen and it wont work in PLAYER.
Well before Inserting any CD or DVD in Player Just check the above mentioned points.
If everything is ok with the CD or DVD but than also its shows the same problem than get the CD or DVD cleaner liquid spray or even you can use Spirit to clean the CD or DVD and than Insert it.
After doing all this but if its shows no result in it than go to the company dealer and ask him to change the head of the player and you wont face this problem afterward for sure.
if you still have nay quarries regarding the same or any other you may reply me.
You need to use a program like Sonic/Roxio Easy DVD Suite. Using Nero, you most probably simply burnt a movie "file" to the DVD, and this is not something 99% of the stand-alone DVD players out there understand. A DVD must be in a certain format and "mastered" such that your stand-alone player will read it properly.
you have dirty lens, try to cleaning with 100% cotton buds. or you have damage laser eye, or broken flex ribbon wire, but first you have to do is to cleaning the lens with cotton buds.. if not reading after you clean the lens! change the laser eye and flex ribbon wire.
