SOURCE: DPFMate Software not available

After powerup hold down power button (just a second or two then release) to get to the menu go to usb connect press arrow and select yes. you should be able to explore your Digital Photo Frame (D.P.F.)as a usb storage device double click on DPFmate.exe It should startup manually then.

I have a iso professional turbo silk flat iron. One of the heating elements came out. I don't see how it was held in there. Is there some way I can fix it

You asked if there was "some way" and here it is... PROVIDING that your remaining parts DO NOT have any loose wires in the parts left over...

Below see this tubular stuff called "heat shrink"... The more it's heated the more it shrinks down in size... Of course there are 'limits' as to how far it will shrink down so picking the right size is very important.

A common hair dryer will aid you in getting a proper 'shrink' and fit.Because it does shrink, do cut it slightly longer than you actually need... it's easy to trim to size later.

Sooo... as the Heat Shrink heats, it molds itself in place and keeps the iron innards in place too (within the handle and under the shrink)!

No worries about electrical shorts or a bad fit ~ unless you pick on a original heat shrink size that is too large thus causing a loose fit? If you find your heat shrink slipping around "AT ALL"... start over with a slightly smaller size.

Also, as it shrinks it gets slightly thicker around "the shrink cylinder outer walls" thus assuring a lasting snug fit! This also provides a slight measure of protection if the iron is dropped on the shrink protected area.

Of course your iron will continue to transfer heat beyond it's "new-formed body" and your flat iron remains quite useful without worries of rubber or particles imparted to your hair!

Here is what the Heat Shrink looks like... Home Depot may have just the size you need... I suspect it may be a $3 fix!

Why are the movies half screen?

Movies that are created for "Wide Screen" viewing show up in letterbox on your TV. If you go to a theatre you notice it is a big rectangle. To be able to fit all of the widescreen movie on a TV it has to make the height smaller.

Because many people want to see the "complete" Movie, the "Letterbox Format" came about. I do NOT know what the word "Letterbox" actually means, or how that term was chosen. To get the complete Rectangle into that Square, they discovered that they could shrink the entire rectangle to fit that square. Meaning, what used to take 2 inches on your screen, now may only take 1.75 inches. Now a problem arrose. When you shrink the WIDTH to fit your dinky Square of a TV, the HEIGHT also has to be shrunk along with it, or else you're stretching the image as if it was on silly-putty ("Compression"). When the image was shrunk to fit the TV Screen, they were left with a gap at the top and bottom of the screen. So they simply fill it in with "Black". I guess the only alternative was to leave it snowy.

Display problems

it depends on what type of PC you have but basically you can go to "my computer" and "display" - change the "resolution" to the next higher setting - this will shrink the screen to fit your window [dxh]
