Some programs dont work on my calculator. They work fine on my friends and we have the same calc and version 1.17 (which probably isnt the most recent). The graphics get skewed so that the graphics on the right side of the screen are higher up than normal and they wrap around to the bottom. This doesnt happen on ALL programs, just some of the ones Ive downloaded. Its very annoying since these games are fun on my friends calculator.
Please help,
Luc
There could be a few solutions.
First check if your OS is the same as your friend's. You can check this by [2nd][+] About. It is in the second row. If they aren't, don't worry.
Second, you could have a corrupt copy caused by transfer. Delete your file and have your friend send a new copy.
Third, delete the file and use a different link cable.
If none of those work, delete the file and download it directly from the computer.
I had three-hundred games on my calculator at one point so I have dealt with this many times.
Good luck!

Hello,
You used TIConnect to reinstall the OS. There are three ways you can put programs or apps in your calculator.
1. USB calc-to- computer cable.
2. TI Silver Cable calc-to computer.
3. calculator to calculato cable.
Try whichever calculator to computer link method you did not use,
As a last resort use the calc-to-calc connection to a working calculator
Yours must be on [2nd][Link] -->[Receive] Hit enter when both calculators are ready.
The other TI84 must be on [2nd][Link] Send [G:SendOS]
Hope it helps.
PS. I checked in The Webster Third New International Dictionary ( about half a million entries), and no wig, wig, whig, whig out meaning that would be appropriate to the present context. Could you enlighten me as to where this idiom is used. Much obliged.
The only way I can download anything to my ti calculators is with the black serial link and the ti connect software device explorer. Some USB port work and some don't. However, the explorer software will tell you alot of what is going on.
Ti 83 and ti84 really have no difference and operate the same. There was something different or you had varibles used by multiple programs that conflicted w/ the ti84 and it would have done the same on the ti83. If you like to rework it and need help email me at [email protected]
This probably is not a problem with your calculator. A syntax error is caused by the program you are running. It just means that the game you have downloaded has a bug in the code and is unplayable. Check out TiCalc.org for a lot of working games and programs.
