Malfunction C0500 Copier will not work anymore! Can I fix this myself?
C0500 refers to a low fuser temperature. You can attempt to clear the code by using the tech rep service mode. Go to "Counter" Go to "Trouble" Trouble reset If "warm Restart Swich" is asked for- This can be actuated through a small access hole on the right side of the control panel, using a straightened paper clip or something similar. You may need to clear the counter by pressing "clear" and then "end". After clearing the code, power cycle the copier. If it comes to "ready" you are all set. If not, you may have a blown heat lamp or thermal fuse which would need to be replaced by a technician. Good Luck!!

The power went out while I was making copies with my minolta dialta. When the power came back on I get the error message C0500. I can not get the copier to make copies now. I do not know where to reset nor can I access any of the screens that come up under "utililty".
