On my Ixus 70, I can only "embed" the date on pictures when "Postcard Mode" is selected. Press "Func/Set", go down to the bottom icon on the left (sets picture size) then go right to "Postcard" (looks like mountains, will say Postcard when selected) then press Func/set button again. Now press "Menu", scroll down to "Date stamp" and set it to "Date" and press "Menu" button again.
A raw image is an uncompressed format your camera takes the picture in. Usually it gets transferred from the camera into a .jpg compressed format to your computer (which simplifies everything and is able to be viewed by anything like photo viewers).
I would search for a canon IXUs 75 driver for your computer, and turn your camera 'on' plugged in with your USB using a standard computer photoviewer program to see if it has a live mode?
The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.
if you dont have the driver disk that came with the camera, check out the canon web site to get the drivers for your camera. you can download them usually for free.
