2 lg dvd players in same room, can I change remote frequency

When ever I try to use one dvd player the other does the same, can I make one dvd player work of a different frequency Yep - I have multiple LG devices also.

(1) LG HDD recorder with DVD player
(2) LG HDMI DVD player

WhenI press On, Close, Open, Off - both devices received thesignalsimultaneously. Grrrr.... It would be an advantage having justone RCto control multiple devices - if you could control themindividually !

SAME PROBLEM WITH 2 PANASONIC RECORDERS, DIFFERENT MODELS.

  • mike845zz Mar 09, 2009

I have the same problem and called tech support. They said there was nothing I could do short of putting tape over the sensor of the one I didn't want to respond.

I was considering a panasonic dvd recorder and did notice in their manual there was a provision to change one of the remotes so you could have two of the same recorder in the same room.

I have new Panasonic DVD & Combo units stacked on top of each other and had the same problem, until last resort I read the manual and and easily changed the frequency on the DVD unit and remote, you can have up to 3 Panasonic units with different frequencys close to each other.

Changing region code to all on a LG DV550 DVD player?

icon_minipost.gifRegion code hack posted by hackaroto, December 27 2010:

1. Switch off the DVD player in to Stand By mode
2. Open the DVD tray using the remote control
3. Press "pause" in the remote
4. Enter 0, 0, 0, 0 (zero 4 times)
5. The display should indicate the regional code set in the DVD and prompts for the new regional code.
6. Enter the new regional code
7. Press Pause to exit the setup
8. Switch off the DVD using the remote and wait for a while before switching it on again.

works for other LG DV55X players

I have a Sony RDR-GX360. Some how I have changed the command mode from DVD1 to DVD 3. Now my remote has frozen and I can't do anything with the DVR player. Is there a reset button or please help.

To fix the Sony remote dvd-1 dvd-2 dvd-3 issue is to take the remote for that recoreder into another room or unplug the dvd recorder a moment. Then hold down the enter key and the number of the mode its stuck in ie if its stuck in dvd-1 mode hold down the enter key and then the 1 key. hold both buttons together for 3 seconds. After this go back into the room and try it or if you unpluged tthe player replug it back in. The remote has to be away from the player to work. again example

get away from player different room so it can not sence remote. Hold down enter and 1 button for 3 seconds and then try it
if its stuck in dvd-2 mode dold down enter and the number 2 button together for 3 secondsd and try it. The idea is you have to be far away from the recorder so it dosent recieve any inputs from the remote while doing this.bigsmile.gifclap.gifagreed.gifpuh2.gifbowdown.gifeek.gif To fix the Sony remote dvd-1 dvd-2 dvd-3 issue is to take the remote for that recoreder into another room or unplug the dvd recorder a moment. Need remote code for DVD player

From my searches I don't think you will find it. Try going to http://www.sony.ca/view/cic_contact.htm and asking them directly for it. I can't see them saying no.

Two lg dvd players in one room, conflict with remote control.

How can you complain about that.

You have already mentioned you have 2 LG DVD systems in your front room, isnt it a little bit obvous that their controllers might control all of their DVD player range..

Instead of complaining, why dont you just put a little bit of black electricians tape or something over the sensor of the one you dont want to use?
