The processes below will get most controls unlocked.
Duet Washer - Press and hold the END OF CYCLE SIGNAL button for 15 seconds.
Whirlpool Duet Dryer - Press and hold the END OF CYCLE SIGNAL button for 15 seconds.
Kenmore Elite Washer - Press and hold the DRAIN/SPIN button for 15 seconds.
Some Models- Press and hold the control lock button for 15 seconds.
If none of these work try unplugging for 5 minutes
SOURCE: My washer will not start. I press the start/pause
clean the drain filter located behind the front lower panell, its prob. holding excess h2o and wont let the water fill cycle activate. this happened to mine.
The washer must be empty and the control must be in theOFF
state before pressing the touch-pad sequence to start the test.
Starting the Test Mode
?Close the door.
?PushCONTROL/ON(if present on this model).
?Select theDRAIN/SPINcycle.
?SelectNO SPINby pressing theSPIN SPEEDtouch-pad.
?PushPREWASH OPTIONfour times within five seconds. (If
PREWASH OPTIONis not present on this model, pressEXTRA
RINSEfour times within five seconds.) C:00 will light up on the
display.
If the Starting procedure fails, push thePAUSE/CANCELtouch-pad,
then repeat the starting procedure.
Test Program Control
In order to advance to the next step of the test procedure, push
PREWASH OPTIONtouch-pad two times. IfPREWASH OPTIONis not
present on this model, pressEXTRA RINSEtwo times.
