Whenever i insert my sim card it will give me no service or signal

At first when i inserted my simcard i got to use. however, when i took it out, and started messen' with my phone, i think i pressed some buttons that i dont remember, and when i put back the simcard the service wasn't anymore. There were no signal.. anyone know whats wront wit it ?

I have the same problem I went to sprint and they told me the Sim card had an issue and gave me a new one

A few things, the sim card is not seated fully , it's in the wrong way, or damaged . pressing buttons will have no affect on the card.

Your card might be a little dirty and needs cleaning in the metallic parts where it connects to your phone. If your card is too old it might need to be replaced by your phone company. Try and insert another SIM from a friend and see if it works. Also please try to insert YOUR SIM in another phone and see if it is OK. If it works in another phone then the problem might be with your phone's connectors.

I have 3. suggestions for you:
1.You should do a "HARD" reset to get everything back to factory (warning: you will lose all of you saved information on the phone.)
2. Go into setting and set the "Network" settings to manual, then ask the phone to search for your Network.
3. Could also be a Tower issue. Call T-Mo and ask if they can chack signals and switch you to a different Tower.

if that is your second sim card inserted ..try inserting the first simcard you inserted...

check the battery.. and dont forget refer the manual for the proper insertion of simcard..

sometimes it is as simple as cleaning the sim card and sim points on the phone with a pencil eraser. sometimes it is related to a simcard IC (usually placed close to the sim tray in the phone) so if u do not succeed cleaning the sim and sim points of the phone u need to change the simcard IC

Insert SIM error in nokia 11oo

your mainboard is having a problem reading your simcard.....you will need to take the phone to a mobile service center and have them either replaced or reflash the phone to correct the issue.....hopefully it is still under warranty and the fault was not cause by you the customer.

Problem regarding mobile sim card chang

Your phone is asking for a code because it is locked to only work with one phone company. If your new sim is from a different company, you can request the unlock code from your old company, they may or may not give it to you (tmobile usually does, ATT/Cingular usually doesn't). The other option is to use a unlocking service, you can find plenty on ebay. If you didn't change phone companies, your new sim card is most likely bad, have your phone company send you another one.
