Correct cable for downloading video to PC??

Hi. I have the Palmcorder PV-DV53D. Is it possible to download video directly from the camera to a pc??? What type of cable would I need? Its not a USB cable. There is a slot near where the miniDV goes in that says "to PC" but I'm not familiar with it. I know I'm a **** about this, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

There are none to download. Panasonic suggests the following when the computer fails to recognize the camera:

  • After re-inserting the SD card into this unit, reconnect the supplied USB cable.
  • Select another USB terminal on the PC.
  • Connect the supplied USB cable again after restarting the PC and turning the unit on.

    I have a Mac Apple PC and the panasonic Palmcorder PVDV 2030, how can I download video into my computer?
    I think the problem with this camera is that you have to download to your PC with a USB cable, hardly ever works with most new PC's with Win 7 or Vista as camera drivers are not built-in.
    The firewire is the way to download if your PC has one okay, good luck.

    My Panasonic Palmcorder PV-GS19 does not connect to my pc
    if you want to transfer the video to the computer, I use a firewire cable that I had to buy separately, make sure ur computer has a firewire port. The usb cable is only good for downloading pictures.

    You shouldn't. The PV-DV203 means it is one of Panasonic's MiniDV, digital cancorders. You should only need the cable(s) supplied with the camera, and either a FireWire or USB port available on your computer. Windows Movie Maker should be able to download the video and allow you to edit it.
