Did you try it without the software. Its been my experience the software that comes with digital cameras isn't even needed. Well, I've not installed any. Assuming the camera has a memory card that you can remove, I would just get a card reader & download your images that way. Remove card, slip it into card reader and hook it up to the usb port. If you're looking for a way to edit your images, you might download googles image editing program , Picasa. If the software is a must have (for some reason) , I'd just do a google search for it. I bet the card reader technique will work fine.

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO A COMPUTER
If your photos and videos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos and to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

Lost when i moved

There is no driver or software needed to upload the pictures. It did not come with one. Simply connect the provided usb cable to the camera and computer. Then locate the "computer" tab on your computer and find the removable drive's section. The pictures may be in your G or F drive. Open the folder and you will see the picture files. You can copy or cut and paste them where ever you like. If you cannot find the provided usb cable, you can purchase it by visiting http://store.mattel.com/us/.

Help please! Lost installation disk

You don't need any software.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Lost disk

You are able to connect the camera and download without the software as long as the driver is there. Try going to www.powershot.com to download the latest driver update for your camera and your operating system.

Hope this helps!
