My TV was purchased in 2003. I have replaced the lamp once since that time. When that lamp went out, there was no warning or notice. The TV simply did not turn on. The service tech told me where to purchase a lamp, and how to replace it.
Now, I'm getting a warning message that the lamp should be replaced, and the lamp hour meter should be reset. Thinking that since the first bulb did not run its complete life cycle, the lamp meter wasn't reset when the tech was here. And, not having a warning message (as it does now), I didn't know to ask how to reset the meter. The warning message "The lamp needs to be replaced, and the lamp hour meter needs to be reset".
How do you reset the lamp hour meter
Panasonic has a PT-52LCX15 and a PT-LCX15-B, the B has PIP and the 15 doesn't so the original remote has no split button. The manual seems to be the same for both and there are no instructions for resetting the lamp timer with the buttons that are on my original Panasonic remote. Panasonic even sent me instructions for the 15-B. I've tried it with the set volume down and: play, FF, REW, VCR/DBS/CH - nothing worked. How do I reset the lamp timer for the Panasonic PT-52LCX15 not Panasonic PT-LCX15-B.
