Two methods come to mind. One, take the hard drive from the desktop and install it into another desktop as a slave drive. Connect this desktop to your laptop with an ethernet cable known as a crossover cable, and transfer your files this way. Depending on the size of the files, you could also copy the files to a USB drive and then copy them to the laptop. A DVD could also be used to transfer the files, provided you have a burner in the second desktop. Two, obtain a hard drive enclosure that connects to the computer via USB and use this to connect your drive to the laptop.

Hi Eva!

If your desktop is crashed, then you will need to verify if its internal hard drive is still working, and then conect it using an USB/SATA/IDE adapter to your Laptop. This is one: http://www.sataadapter.com/SATA-IDE-ATA-66-ATA-100-ATA-133-COMBO-ADAPTER/sata-ide-adapter-usb-hard-drive-sata-drive.html

If the problem with your desktop is with its hard drive, then... you need to take your computer to its manufacturer technnical service center.

Hi Eva, I already answered other of your questions, and if your hard drive is still working, you can use an USB/SATA/IDE adapter so you can use it as an external hard drive, and then you can browse in to your hard drive to find all you info (C:\users\your name\documents), and then copy it in to your laptop.

Hi, you can easy recover your data from the hard drive with this
product:

http://www.sandberg.it/product/USB-All-In-1-Hard-Disk-Link

A new main board will start up on your old
hard drive.
You maybe have to use the driver cd.
It does not have to be a asrock.
You just have to select your boot settings in the bios.

Hope this was helpfull.

Need bios update and where to download and how to instakll new bios

Get your motherboard info ( ie; brand/manufacture, model ). there is programs that can help you with that if need be, but one of the best ways to do this is actually look at your motherboard, it will have this information writing on it (usually between the PCI slots or next to the cpu ). Then go to the manufacture's wed site ( ie; if its a ASUS then asus.com, msi.com for MSI, etc. You can always just do a google search to find it! ), most manufactures will have a download and/or support link/page. There you should be able to input your specific motherboards info to find your motherboard latest BIOS download and instructions on how to update your motherboard. (Please note that there is always a risk of something going wrong and bricking your mobo! So make sure that you follow the directions exactly. If the mobo has a feature like 'crash free bios' make sure you read up on that too and make what ever preparations like backing it up before you flash your bios and know what to do if something goes wrong so you can reverse the system back to normal!)
Hope this helps!!! good luck!!

Mylaptop screen si shaking whats the problem &solution

It's most likely a hardware problem. Either with the screen, the cable connecting screen to motherboard or the video adapter chip/motherboard. If still on warranty you should call your computer manufacturer like toshiba
Good luck

Motherboard drivers download

look at the screen when unit boots up. There will be a BIOS manufacture, along with a set of long numbers. Sometimes they appear in the lower left of the screen.Copy down that info and go to this site.

http://www.motherboards.org/search.html

There you can enter your info and it will tell you who made the motherboard

My computer keeps shutting down randomly. Also when i try to use F10 it will not respond if i try and run error checking the system will crash/shut down or give me a black screen. Basicly it randomly...

Possibilities:
1. overheating, and automatic shutdown.
Check that the fans are working.

2. bad RAM, causing "random" crashing.
On a "good" computer, download the free 'MEMTEST86+' software, and run it, to test your RAM.

3. Leaking capacitors on motherboard, causing "voltage-spikes", leading to "random" errors.

4. Bad disk-drive. Remove the disk-drive.
Connect it as a "slave" drive in another computer,
and run 'CHKDSK' ("Check Disk") to look for problems.

Will Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300, 2.50 GHz processor work on asus p5n73-am motherboard..is it compatible, will the motherboard crash or will the processor overheat. I am looking to change my current processor...

Motherboard info
Yes it'll work. Worst case scenario is that you will need to do a bios update. Overheat should not be a problem if you are using the intel reference cooler wich is provided with the cpu.

Audio driver

Check your manual for the Driver type. If it is the common AC97 - then is is available for free download - just Google for it. Also the Motherboard or utilities disk that came with the computer should have it. Alternatively contact Sony Tech Supp Team.
