After playing a movie, pressing eject and turning off the power and back on don't work. The DVD tray won't open and the light remains red.
I've tried holding the button, unplugging and replugging it... and nothing.
Please help.. it keeps eating video store dvds... oops.

Your lovely Bose has problem with its mechanism that cause load / unload totally out of order. If you hear some noise while you turn on the bose or when you hit some buttons, it is telling us the motor still work. Now we need to check the broken gears ( or other mechanism linkage). If you able assemble this Bose, go ahead to find and fix it mehanism ( you may need some parts replacement.
Note : Be carefully with its laser lens while power on ( avoid direct contact to your eyes).

Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet and turn the player ON. Attempt to open the disc tray. Depending on the model number of your DVD player, simultaneously press the POWER + STOP + EJECT buttons. If the disc tray still does not open, simultaneously press the DISC1 + STOP + EJECT buttons.6 Jan 2013
Sound like it either has one or two problems, the door is stuck and or the door eject motor has failed. Look in the front to the player for a small paperclip like hole, and use a paper clip to manual eject the and engage the loading mechanism usually located under the door for most cases. Check you manuals troubleshooting section for manually ejecting a CD..

your disc tray is jamming on an intermittent fault and when it does work it is recording each time the eject botton is being pressed so when your watching movies or playing games it tries to eject the disc tray and causes an automatic shutdown it will definately neet proffesionally repaired and should cost about 30-40 pounds and get a guarantee with it bacause these faults can come back to haunt you.
