TV (RCA model F32705) stuck on one channel

My TV is stuck on ABC. I have no remote for my TV. It broke and i felt I did not need it anymore. Anyway, I change the channel the old fashioned way, I get up and use the button on the tv. As I said earlier my tv is stuck on abc (channel 3 i think). When I change the channel using the buttons on the tv the channel number changes but the tv stays tuned into abc. Does not matter if I use the up or down channel button the result is the same. I have unplugged the tv and disconnected it from the vcr and called the cable company. All have lead me to the problem is with the tv. I need some advice on what to do next. Steve

i have the same problem.. stuck on one channel. remote doesnt change it, buttons on tv wont change it. the channel numbers in the upper corner change to different channels, but the station remains the same. i let it autoprogram but still the same. didnt fix it. any more help?

daughter sprayed vinager on the tv buttons and now its stuck changing the channels up. when I hold the up channel button it stops changing. suggestions?

Usually the fix for that on a RCA or GE TV is to go into the menu (the button in on the front of the TV) and find channel settings and let the TV autoprogram itself. This should fix the issue.

Channel change buttons on the TV set will only go to 44 and 50 I need 03 for converter box.

If you cannot change the rf frequency on the tv set to 03 or 04, there is no way you can get the converter box to work with that set..

Need Source Dode for an RCA TV model DETK185R.

The RCA DETK185R TV can be controlled with Universal Remote Controls. I tested several.
The best match was a 4 digit universal remote from GE. Model Number 10841. Code 1961 worked almost everything.
With a 5 digit remote from RCA, model number RCRN04GR, Code 12372 worked Power, Channel, Volume and Input.
A 3 digit remote from GE, model RC24912-B. Code 166 was able to control Power, Channel, Volume and Input.
An old 3 digit remote from RCA, model RCU-403A. Code 062 was able to control Power, Channel and Volume.
Most remotes from GE and RCA will use the same code numbers. So even if you have a different model remote from GE or RCA, these codes may work.
These codes should work with other TV models in this series from RCA, including Detk215r, Detk186r and Detk156r.

Need to undo channel sets without remote

this can always be done using the buttons on the tv if there is no menu button sometimes you can hit the volume up and down buttons at the same time and it should be down hill from there. good luck to ya

Get a cable box from the cable company it will be cheaper than repairing the tuner. Then you use the tuner from the cable box instead.

The only way is with the remote. Try to find a GE or RCA universal remote. These remotes are designed around GE and RCA tv's and generally don't have to be programmed. (GE and RCA are both THOMSON made sets). Thanks

Powers on and off my itself. Changes channels by itself

i had the same problem. i opened the t.v. took out the circuit board to the buttons and broke off the little resistor things to all the buttons. JUST BE CAREFUL NOT TO BREAK THE ONES LEADING TO THE IR LIGHT. if you can find another button board thatd be a better fix. let me know if you do please. anyway put it back together and use the remote from now on and it wont turn itself off anymore. my guess is one of the buttons shorted out or something.
