Have no picture when tv is turned on- tv "winds up" red light goes to amber light, it blinks, than two red lights flash on the front indicator panel and the show is over.
No audio, no picutre, no nothin'
I assume from reivews its the lamp light, some halogen bulb,
calling the best buy help line, or part search its a 265.00 part - is this really the issue and where do I order and what are the skematics to repair the savage beast?

If the second light is blinking to orange or red, that is usually the lamp indicator light on an LG DLP tv. That indicates your bulb needs replaced, or something surrounding the bulb has failed (like the cooling fan for the bulb for example) IF you have a spare bulb handy, I'd replace the bulb, keeping in mind if you touch any part of a new bulb with your bare hands, you just cut the life of the bulb by more then half.
Depending on what light is flashing it could be a few things. If the Lamp light (the middle one) is flashing that is problem with or around the lamp. That orange or amber light is an indication that the lamp is reaching the end of its life
If it is the Temperature light (the far right one) then the TV is shutting down because it is over heating and you need to check the cooling fan.
