Sony CyberShot DSC S600...Powering

Hi there.. LOVE THIS CAMERA and have it less than a year..however its not staying powered on for me in ANY MODE AT ALL! I have replaced batteries and its not helping... as soon as u hit the power button ( in camera mode..to take pic) u see/hear lense and then shuts right off! When it first did this... i could put it in view pic mode..and it would come on without a problem...but as soon as u move that switch and the lense attempts to move ...it shuts off... but now it dont come on in that mode either. ANY advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

i have exactly the same problem when i power up my sony DSC-S600 digital camera it comes on for a second the powers down does anyone know a solution

Yes, power buttons do break on these cameras. Contact your local Sony service center and see how much will it cost to replace the top panel. If they ask too much, feel free to contact me at [email protected]

Powering off

Lens mechanism isn't good to work properly so camera shut down the power. Try to tap the lens/ camera while power up.
