Restart your computer
have a close look at the screen it will be quick you will see which key to press to enter bios

During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup usually the Delete or F2 key

this will vary depending on your computer and operating system

Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS using the arrow keys load failsafe defaults or load optimized defaults press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart

hope this helps

My sun microsystems server can not boot device , what should I do?

I am not sure what server you have and the OS you have, the configuration and how this relates to shoes. If the boot device isn't starting up, can you see it in the BIOS as a drive. That rules out a HD failure.

How do I open a remote desktop on a Sunblade 2500 from a linux PC ?

What kind of remote protocol are you using? Is it setup to share or does it only allow for one person to view screen? Sounds like more of a config issue. Any Linux distro will have a program for vnc, rdp ect.

An error code jfb0 Bus Eror - Data Parity Error Detected Parity Error The system is a Sun Blade 2000 What can I do to fix this

replace or remove whatever ram chip is faulty, that error refers to a crc check on ecc memory. Or you could just turn off ecc parity checking in the bios. But that simply defeats the object of having ecc memory in the first place

How do I install sun solaris from a grub prompt when I boot off the setup cd

A grub prompt is most likely coming off the hard disk where you're attempting to boot.

Restart the machine and adjust the bios settings so that the PC will attempt to boot from the CD or DVD drive before attempting to use the hard disk.

It's possible that you may need to burn a new image of the sun solaris ISO. That may be where you need to get help, if your system doesn't seem to be able to boot from this CD but CAN boot from others.

I need to update my bios on A Dell PC

During the initial boot of a computer the BIOS supplier will be displayed. If OEM logo splash screen is displayed, press ESC key to see the boot up information. Press the Pause/Break key if text displays too fast.
The major BIOS suppliers are listed below and can be used to search for special BIOS updates not supplied by the Computer vendor.*

Pci express slot

Hi dineshcs.
When adding a new graphics card (Your's being a PCI-Express), you must change a bios setting under the title " Advanced " section. Open you're M2N-MX manual & turn to page 2-21. You need to change the boot order for you're graphics to list,
[PEG/PCI]. Change Initiate Graphic Mode Select to [Disable].
These changes stop the onboard graphics card from loading & allow the PCI-Express card to load. The issue of possible motherboard overheating can be caused by many things. Here is a list of things to check.
1). Check the CPU heat-sink fan. Make sure the fan blades are
free from dust build up. Check fan speed in bios (Its RPM will be listed). It should be running a min of 2300 RPM.
2). Also in the bios is Hardware monitor. By booting into the bios go to this & watch the temp of CPU & motherboard. If either is getting too hot suggest you add a side case 3" fan to the system to help lower the CPU & motherboard temp.

Good Luck!

Mike
