It may be a refrigerant leak in the coil and it will stop working soon. When this happens it's time for a new box. 15 years is a good run.
A new coil could cost as much as a new frig and that's without labor cost.

I did a search on Amana.com's knowledge base and didn't find anything useful regarding your two top cooling units not working.

The above is a service locator for your refrigerator. Since their site doesn't seem to have a solution for this, I would call in the pros if you want to have it fixed more quickly than trying to do it yourself.

Sounds like you might have a leak in the sealed system and it is gradualy getting worse.

If you do not have guages (freon) and have a licens to proforme this type of work you will need to have someone qualified in this area to varify.You can call sears home repair @ 800 469-4663

have a two year old side by side amana frig. the freezer side works fine, the frig is at 56 degrees at coldest setitng. HELP, can't get repair guy for five days cause we live in rural area.

That could be it.

you can have the compressor replaced for around 500usd on the norm. that would be the most inexpensive way to go compared to a new unit , it will come with a 90 day-1 year warranty.
