Has anyone got this figuired out. The color must be adjusted after CRT replacement.
Benimur, To clarify we are the tech people who changed the tube. Normally we hook a sencore color generator to the monitor and use that to adjust the color. This monitor will not allow you to do this from what we can gather without some type of external box that plugs into a serial type connector inside the monitor. We have a similar setup that we use for some viewsonic monitors. Hitachi told us that this exists but would not provide any further info on it.
Hi, if you are referring to the replacement of the picture tube, then yes, the color will have to be adjusted. However this should have been done by the tech personnel who did the replacment with a color bar generator and alignment tools. You can also try pressing the degauss button on the monitor to see if the color balances back. Hope this be of some help. Good luck

There is a serial connector on the monitor which it appears that some type of programming box attaches to similar to a viewsonic monitor that we repair. This appears to be the only way of getting to the menus to adjust colors. We spoke to a authorized Hitachi repair center and they said that this box exists but would not release any further information. We had the same issue in changing tubes (CRT) on a 21" Ilyama model. We have sinice found out that all we need to do was short 3 of the pins on the serial connector and that would then enter a color adjustement menu. We have about 75 of the Hitachis that the only problem is burned marks on the CRT and would like to get these repaired.
