Splash, If you haven't already done so turn the printer off, then back on then let sit with power on for 10 min. If nothing changes all of the LEDs flashing indicate you'll have to take it in for repair. When the manual refers to service they mean a service technician will need to work on the printer. Good luck and please don't forget to rate this post.

All LED lights flashing on Brother HL-2140, how do you clear it?

Your printer needs servicing due to a fault on its electronics. This is due to a power surge or spikes cause by an abnormality in your power distribution system or your power transmission/distribution lines might have been struck by a lightning during a storm and its breakers have failed to cut the power.

As a precautionary measure, always plug electronic devices on surge protectors.

Send your printer to your nearest Brother Service Centers.

All four lights flash continually on Brother 2070n printer

If there is an error that cannot be cleared by the user, the printer will show that a service call is needed by
lighting up all the LEDs as below.
c5ae79f.jpg If you see the service call indication, turn off the power switch, wait a few seconds, and then turn it
back on and try to print again.
If you cannot clear the error and see the same service call indication after turning the printer back on, call
your dealer or a Brother authorized service representative.

Brother HL-1440 LASER PRINTER requires ''Service Call A''.

currently, the error you have is not a service errorl, ready and alarm blink means that you have either a paper jam, no paper, or a paper misfeed.

do you get this error only when you try to print?
according to the service manual the lights can not alternate in blinking.

Brother HL-2070N

According to the brother site, that means that the printer needs servicing. I talked to a local service center and they recommended chucking the machine--any repair is likely to cost almost as much as a new printer.

It's pretty disappointing.
