heres what you can do;
once plugged into computer, click on "my computer" icon.
Find the sandisk sansa product, and look through all the music files,
once found the files, delete any of the files as you wish
if that dosent work, im afriad that your going have to delete everything and start fresh again.
Open My Computer and go to your sansa folder named something like this "SansaE250"
Open it and go into music and delete all the songs
simply, press CTRL+ A - selecting everything, then press Delete.
Go to Windows Media Player under the Sync tab, over on the far left should be the name of the player, click on it and find the name of the song by album title, artist, or whatever, click on the title and click delete and you should be able to delete any song you like without deleting them all
The sansa has two USB modes. If you load tracks in one mode you have to be in the same mode to see them in explorer and also be able to delete them. Took me ages to figure this out. From the main menu, go to Settings then select USB and toggle between "MSC" and "Auto Detect". You should then be able to see the hidden tracks. I have firmware 2.2.5A installed so you might want to check that too.
I now only use the Sansa in MSC mode as it seems to crash Winamp if I use it in Autodetect.
Follow this link - it explains how to update your player's firmware

I Hope this helps :)
You might have to take the product back because you might of corrupted it. I corrupted mine just recently and I had the same problem. If you decide to get another one, don't unplug the MP3 before it's done saving.
what you really have to do is:
1: Double click my computer
2:Double click Sansa e250 drive
3: Right click on the icon that looks like a disk drive and click format
BE SURE TO HAVE BACKUP OF SONGS BEFORE YOU FORMAT!!!
