"check connections" My casio exilim camera (EX-Z260) is having problems. When I turn it on the green light comes on, but the screen doesn't light up. After about 30-45 seconds a "check connections" warning will come on the camera's screen and then turn off. I have tried everything I know. I have taken the battery out, ran down the battery, recharched the battery, and hooked it up to the computer. Nothing is working. Please help! Thanks :)

I am having a similar problem. I put mine in its dock, connected the USB cable to my computer, and pressed the USB button on the dock. The light turned green and after 30 or so seconds, the message Check Connections came up on the camera.

I got the same error on my EX-Z850. The docking station USB cable was plugged into a USB extension cable, which was plugged into the computer. After I plugged the USB from the docking station directly into the computer, the connection was found right away. I think the female end of the extension cable wasn't deep enough to make a good connection.

I had the exact same problem as described, originally I thought it was the battery because it would flash the green light and then turn off. But eventually I got the battery to stay on for like 40-45 seconds and then it would say "check connections" and die.

I think this error arises when the cable connecting the camera and the computer is disconnected before a file has a chance to finish transfering.

To fix the problem, fully charge your camera and then hook it up to your computer, you should be able to see and move around the files on the camera (if you can't something else is wrong). Just move a few files off the camera to ensure the connection is stable and then safely remove the camera, it should now work perfect. If it doesn't then you might need to use the safely remove hardware icon in the windows tray (near where the time is).

I am glad I worked this out, I was about to buy a new one!

Make sure that your cable are plugged in all the way. About the only time I have seen this error msg is if the cable isn't plugged in all the way.

I had the same problem for a long long time. But finally one day I got frustrated and pushed hard on the USB connection and wiggled it a little into the dock. And it popped further in! And voila! It worked! The whole time it felt as if it were placed right into the dock. But it wasn't. Now I know when the usb is working, because the little green light flashes quickly when it's working right. When it's not connected right, the green light simply remains solid. Hope this can help you.

Casio Exilim won't turn on

My guess, only support people know what the two beeps mean.
Try to remove the battery and after a few seconds insert it again.
Then again switch on. If the error returns, contact the dealer or Casio support. Still it could be you think the battery is charged, but the capacity is not enough to power up your camera.

The monitor screen will not come on the Casio Exilim EX-S770 digital camera. Can it be fixed???

Yes. It might be the back light or inverter. If we're lucky, it could be just a loose connection - it has to be disassembled.

No there isn't. It should automatically come on. Usually when I have heard of that it is right before the LCD goes out for good. Call repairs at 800-706-2534 and keep choosing option 2 and they will tell you where to send it.
