We got a macbook last dec and hooked up our hp deskjet 3500 printer from the harddrive which worked without any problem. i recently found our software that came with the printer and stupidly thought I should download it. But it didn't print and I tried to take it off. Now we can't get our printer to work at all and we have tried to go through the systems preferences and delete the original printer and add it back on. But nothing is working. The hp 3500 series doesnt come up on the list of printers to chose from...Anyone with an idea???? When I hit the print key, it will run for a minute then says the job is completed. We have tried doing the disk utlity also and it doesn't work. Please help. we are desparate!! Thanks.
Hi. I have an hp deskjet 3500 series. The software works with windows xp but I have Windows Vista and I can't install it. Do you know where I can download the driver for windows vista?

HI- I have the same problem with my HP deskjet D2330- I have a call into Apple about this and will post any solution I get here. My understanding of this problem after speaking with people at apple , is that the computer doesn't recognize the driver (even after downloading hte lastest supposedly MAcBook compatible driver from HP website). I have found several people with this problem so I am hoping they are correcting it! In the meantime- if you ahve found a solutio yourself could you post it here?
