Cannot install the driver

Installation is unsuccessful. The system's prompt, "This system does not meet one or more of the minimum requirements needed to install this product. Ths installation cannnot continue." Thus I cant use the scanning function.

What is the problem? Have been living with this misery for 2 years. Please help.

  • wak rizal Dec 28, 2008

It says, "This software cannot be installed using the 'Run as...' command. The installation cannot continue until this is resolved."

Not sure what to do with that prompt. And the prompt on the printer when pressing the scan button is, "You need to install or run HP software for this feature"

Remembered purchasing in 2006, should be close to 2 years...Thought my old PC was giving my problems, so I changed a new PC, but still can't install. New PC running on vista.

    Thanx

Windows anytime upgrade

You could have been a bit more specific
which operating system ? and what is the problem ?

Whether your HP Pavilion can be upgraded to Windows Vista depends on your current operating system and hardware capabilities. Certain minimum requirements must be met to install Vista, including 15 gigabytes of free space on your hard drive and a CD-ROM drive to read the Vista installation CD. Once you have verified that you meet the prerequisites for upgrading to windows Vista, the actual process is rather simple and does not require many steps.

Verify that your HP Pavilion computer is capable of supporting Vista before you begin installing it. See the Tips section below for the minimum requirements. Back up your important files and data to an external storage device such as a CD or flash drive before continuing. Connect to the Internet and then place the Vista installation CD in your optical drive. Wait for the setup wizard to auto-start. Click "Install Now" when the prompt appears. Then, click "Get important updates for installation" and click "Next." Enter your Windows Vista product key when prompted to do so and click "Next." Click "I accept the license terms" on the next page. Select "Upgrade" or "Custom (advanced)" when prompted for which type of installation you wish to install. Choose "Upgrade" to keep your old files or "Custom (advanced)" to perform a clean install. Wait for the installer to finish. Set your personal preferences once Vista has been fully installed on your HP Pavilion.

In my pc when i download yahoo messenger it is not at all installed why?

After you download the installation file from Yahoo! you need to double-click the file to start the installation. From there you simply follow the prompts until the installation is finished.

If you are doing this and the program is not showing up any where on your system, try the following.
1)Go to the Control Panel then Programs(or Add/remove Programs in XP). If Yahoo! IM is listed there then it did install.
Next, check the Start menu to see if Yahoo! IM is listed under Programs(All Programs in XP).

2)Verify you're download the correct installation for your operating system and verify your computer meets the minimum requirements for Yahoo! IM.
3)Reboot your computer then try the installation again.
