In addition to the batteries provided with the camera, the following types of battery can be
used. Choose the power source best suited to the situation.
AA alkaline batteries/Oxyride batteries
The number of pictures that you can take may vary considerably depending on the battery
manufacturer and shooting conditions.
AA NiMH batteries (rechargeable batteries)
Olympus NiMH batteries are rechargeable and economical. For details, refer to the
instruction manual for your charger.
(Lithium battery packs (CR-V3) and AA manganese (zinc-carbon) batteries cannot
be used.
(Power consumption by the camera varies depending on which functions are used.
(Power is consumed continuously during the conditions described below causing batteries
to become exhausted quickly.
• The zoom is used repeatedly.
• The shutter button is pressed halfway repeatedly in shooting mode, activating the auto
focus.
• The monitor is left on for an extended period of time.
• The camera is connected to a computer or printer
(The battery life varies widely depending on the type of battery, manufacturer, shooting
conditions, etc. Because of this, there may be cases where the camera turns itself off
without displaying the battery level warning, or displays the battery level warning sooner than usual

It dosnt charge

Hey there tiffg0m3z,

I have the fe-220. I believe yours has similiar properties. They require a separate charger for the battery. Hooking up to a usb is not going to charge your battery. The LI-40c charger should have come with your camera. If you purchased aftermarket, contact seller to obtain specific charger for your camera.

Good Luck and let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Batteries

Hi,
I've actually had this problem myself.

Use NiMh bateries - and a standard plug-in charger for them. It works out cheaper than "proper" batteries for the camera, which is just a moulded block version of the same thing.

The camera monitors the battery level - and expects the results from NiMh. Stick to the mid range Ah, as the larger ones also cause problems.

Drained batteries

Stop using this camera (Olympus FE-210), warn all your friends and relatives about this piece of junk, send the camera back to Olympus COD. Take the money you save from not buying more batteries for this camera and buy a decent camera from a reputable manufacturer.
