Incert dvd read out sats NO

Hello
This usually happens when the DVD or laser lens pick-up has become dirty. All you need to do is

1. Check the disk for scratches.

2. Make sure the disk you are using fit the correct format specified by your DVD player.

3. Clean the laser lens with a DVD laser cleaning disk.

4. Insert a correctly formatted undamaged disk into your player, listen to see if it begins to read the disk,if it continues to make no sound.

5. Open the DVD player carefully and clean the lens with isopropyl alcohol and cotton swab.

6. If none of these solutions works out then a professional repair technician will be able to tell you if fixing your DVD player is worth the money.

Either my computer or dvd does not read movies recorded by this camcorder. Why?

hi. in many DVD camcorders. you are suposed to closed o finalize the dvd disk . by doing this it will be playback compatible with your pc or dvd player.

NOTE
after finalizing a disk you will not able to record any longer on that disk (DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RAM, DVD RW) If you record for 5 minutes and finalized the dvd it will have a 5 min movie !!!

When i use a hdmi cable in my samsung dvd hd860 there is no sound, why is this

I had a Samaung DVD VR-375 and it plugged straight in and had video and sound both with one HDMI cable. BUT I also have 2 new LCD TV's that provide and additional audio hookup to go with the HDMI hookup. Look for an audio OUTPUT ( L and R) from your Samsung HD860 and electrically connect it to your TV input associated with HDMI marked L and R.

Cant get a picture on tv using dvd but can get sound Samaung dvdR120

I assume you're using a Scart connection between the DVD & the TV. Try re-fitting the scart into both the DVD & TV, it is common for the scart cable to become slack & will give you this symptom.

Problem dubbing from VHS to DVD

Try different brands of disk, most dvd-r recorder are disk sensitive, buy only one disk per brand, find the brand compatible to your recorder by just inserting the disk and wait for confirmation that it is ready for recording session. I have tried around five brands, sony and maxell as well as verbatim are good dvd-r disk.
