The stovetop glass has cracked on my KESH307 Superba Electric Range. How do I replace this?

Try replacing ONE stovetop burner and see if the new one works. If it does, replace more stovetop burners. If the new ones all work, replace the oven burners.

If that first replacement stovetop burner STILL doesn't work, don't replace any more. Instead, check (or have checked) the circuit breaker for the range. It may get power from a second source to power the clock.

I've seen mixed results across the internet on this one. From personal experience, for some reason, my glass teapot left some sort of stain on my ceramic stovetop. It also took longer to heat. I then went out and bought a simple metal one and have been pretty satisfied. If cosmetics are a concern, it's not too difficult a step to pour the water into your teapot after the fact, right?

in reality you are not required to replace the glass as glass breaks in normal use and is out of your control and in renters terms comes under fair wear and tear

open door fully, look down by hinges where enter unit, pull those metal tabs back that lock the door in place, close door to broil position 3/4 way closed and lift up, which should get the door off the unit.. once removed you would have to get acess inside that door by a combination on removing outer sccrews and hing screws and also seperating those glasses.....be careful to remeber how everything goes back i know of some techs that run into problems reassemblin those doors.. hope this helps,, some local service companies often charge a smaller in shop service call for small items like that if thats avaialable in your area,, hope this helps

1. Open oven door and remove two screws that secure top.
2. Lift up front and slide forward about 8 inches so that you can disconnect two wire couplings.
3. Place on table upside down(I put newspaper down to catch the broken shards of glass) and remove burner unit (1piece, 4 screws).
4. Place old burners on new stovetop in the same position as original.
5. Remove 4 white plastic shims (round) from old stovetop and put on new stovetop.
6. Tighten all screws and then sit it back on stove (two front tabs fit into slots) and then insert screws into holes and tighten.
7. Took about 20 minutes, including vacuuming broken glass from inside burners and cleaning grease form crevices between burners and old stovetop.
8. Wrap old stovetop in the newspapers that are underneath it and place it all in a plastic garbage bag to avoid any broken glass from falling out.

I would let the pro to do the job. if any thing goes wrong with the wiring, then you are responsible, insurance would cover it.
you can cook on the part that the heating elements are not damaged by the crack.

There is nothing you can do to remedy this problem short of replacing the glass top. Sorry.

u have to replace the whole top and its about 400 to 500 dollars just for the part cheaper to buy new

It sounds like you need to replace your heat sensor located inside the rear left top of oven.Also you will need to pull range out and remove back panel to unplug senso good luck:)
